I've added some new post flairs for you! If you have any other suggestions, feel free.
You can now show the speakers you have next to your name! Here's how!
Please use these as intended, don't impersonate anymore please
You guys wanted a low battery popup, now Glyphify does it!
I successfully managed to power my 20v drill through USB-C (That's a follow-up to my previous post)
I didn't think it would even work with a current that is this noisy especially coming from a motor
My 100W power bank does reset with this kind of current but my AC charger does work
I'm impressed that it can even run at full speed and even resist some pretty good torque (I tested that afterwards)
If anyone wants to replicate this for experimentation purposes or to properly 3D print some adapter, here's what I made. I have a 100W PD trigger from Aliexpress set to 20V. To trick the drill that it's a battery, I added a 10 kOhm resistor between the minus value and the center pin, which is where the temperature sensor should normally be connected.
I don't recommend using this technique for daily use but just for fun and experimentation purposes or when you don't really have a battery anymore and you absolutely need to power on your drill for a long time .
And keep in mind that you can't fully accelerate the drill to full speed or it will trip over the charger. You also really need to limit the torque (even the 3 setting is almost too strong) so you can't really use it at its full potential because it does use more than 100 W at its full power
Hope you enjoyed reading my mess. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to ask
We tend to forget it but 100w through a USB port is crazy imo
Yes that's a toaster resistor (perspective mekes it look wrong but that's roughly 30cm of heated up material)
I was testing powerbank + tester + my new pd trigger
