I hated the idea of just tossing the cat try my kitties love so much, but I also HATED the idea of replacing these torn up legs with MORE junk that they'll just tear apart again! Solution- some 2 inch pvc piping, flat caps, 1/4" drill bit, and some adhesive scratch pad stuff for furniture. The pvc is soft enough for the screws that came with it to thread themselves in. Pro tip- use an actual Allen bit and a drill when putting it back together. Doing it by hand would have been more than possible, but exhausting. Total cost for pipes (these came in 2 foot sections so balance that against possibly just buying longer and chopping) and caps $30ish. The carpet (left over from already doing the furniture) $18. So at about $50 I could have just gotten another tree, but this saves the trash and means it'll last as long as I replace the carpeting now and then.

Next up- recarpeting the box.

The first picture was literally ONE find! The rest are just random grabs. Goodwill has been VERY good for the arsenal 😁 3 giant war chests and growing still! Not all of them are amazing, but at only a few bucks each it makes my son happy, and keeps me active running around the yard with him!

Custom "Compact Cybertool" Victorinox

I couldn't be happier to have found LITERALLY my dream lite carry build! I've been considering either crafter one myself or trying to commission it for a good year now. So when I stumbled on it on Ebay, I had to grab it! Sure... it might be my 10th+ SAK, and I love ALL my Vicky babies, but this one seems pulled right out of the sketches I've scribbled for my Perfect SAK!

My late FiL was a die hard Browns fan his whole life. He took me in as part of the family when I met his daughter. He was a retired Cheif Master Sergeant, kind, funny, a great Brother, Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. I've been looking for this watch for years and had hoped to surprise him with it, but unfortunately he passed before I could ever get hands on it.

It's a great AniDigi, loud and clear tones and alarm, and has the coolest analog set I've seen on a Casio. Couldn't be happier to finally have found one, and remember a great guy every time I wear it.

Just picked this guy up for TEN BUCKS at Goodwill. Guy at the local bike shop says it's an original 90s with all original hardware, brakes, even tires and tubes. I'm thinking I want to flip it, but would love to ride it in the meantime. Is his quote at $250 worth it? Yes, I could do brakes myself, and probably just sell as is on the cabling, but it's a project I just don't have time for myself at the moment. Are these classics still worth the money?

I've been on a *journey* when it comes to collecting and figuring out my style, wants, and tastes when it comes to pieces. Hitting 41 this last week I decided to start paring down to a collection that reflects "me". This beauty marks the start of my 1-in-2 out philosophy, and I couldn't be happier.

Was gifted my partner's granddad's watch today! After a few sharp shakes and some "charging", it's ticking and keeping time like a brand new piece despite sitting in a drawer the last 30+ years! I've been looking at vintage 5's forever trying to figure out what I wanted, but this beats every one by a mile.

So I've actually had these in various iterations around the house, my job, and my sling , for years. I know they're gimmicky, but I think it's one of those over looked little things that can actually add a lot to a carry.

What's your cheapo edc item that you don't see enough people pack?

These are some of the bigger pieces I spent time breaking some small boulders for. I (and the rest of the family) have a ton of small pretty ones, but I wanted to know- was it worth the effort? Is it *usually* worth the effort for the big finds? Regardless, I'm going to clean them up and display them proudly at home!
