I have bred turquoise and green discus. Nothing special. I like plain common pedestrian, non-hybridized fish. I have bred a lot of cichlids and catfish. It's hard to find these fish. I have a 65 that I'm thinking about setting up. Anyway, I saw this sub and thought I'd check it out. Many fish that I"ve bred in the past.
What disease can your potatoes possibly get if you simply cut eyes from a potato and plant? This was posted as a possibility by another Redditor from Europe Netherlands?) My mother said that's how they grew their potatoes on the farm (SC).

An avid gardener gave me 5 garlic plants that he pulled out of his garden. He simply told me to dig a hole, trim the brown tops after covering with soil. I now have 3 green tops pushing up through the ground. Is there anything should do to them? Do they need to be covered with straw or anything? TIA
I must have gotten lucky with my first batch. I didn't weigh anything and that's what I bake with. I made 2 batches one with rum the other vodka. My question now is, I'm running out and what's the correct measurement (bean:alcohol)? 5 Madagascar beans and vodka or rum in a swing top container with the bean slit. TIA

I would like to use a pump sprayer to fertilize my plants. It's a gallon in size. Veg. mostly, I do have a smattering of house plants. What should I use
Cookies, cakes, and pies my! I thought I was being frugal, I purchased a 25lb of unbleached bread flour when I couldn't find and refused to pay $40 for the same size bag (I have a budget). I believe that bag was $15. Here's what I'm trying to figure out, how the additional protein will affect the out come of: pies, cakes, and cookies. What will I have to do if anything to correct the higher protein content. Your advice and help will be greatly appreciated.
I followed the Brown-eyed baker egg bagel recipe. They turned out well. I however, didn't like the taste. Am I missing something? Is there a flavor enhancer that should have been added? They looked great and everyone else loved them. Perhaps I'm being hypercritical.
So, I lucked into a gelato machine. I also do volunteer work. I want to treat my fellow volunteers to a tasty treat. This would be my first foray into using this machine. I'd like to make something simple at first and then a little more exotic. In the past I had a Cusinart Ice Cream maker. I'm looking for your recipes please: -)
This is a house of horrors! I don't know how it passed the municipality inspection to rent let alone sell. This guy hid so many things, it's a nightmare. Our electricity, is at 30% for the house. Outlets at water fixtures aren't compliant. The plumbing under the sink isn't connected. Garage door is metal between rotted wood. He did the same with the house next door, that he owned and sold. I'm at a loss, as I used my last 20,000 to purchase. I'm disabled and am not handy.
Newbie gardener. I have half of my garden in the ground and the other half in pots. Two types of eggplant, a doz. tomato plants all diff,(6) potted, mint potted, 6 jalapeño plants potted, 2 mystery pepper plants potted, 8 collared greens, 4 lettuce varieties zucchini, basil, lemongrass, oregano, and bayleaf. I also have apple seedlings and a cheery pit that seems to want to sprout maybe? I have a doz potted houseplants and 1/2 doz houseplants in water. What I want to know is: will the potted vegetables winter over and still produce? I grow this garden to feed my community. It's not for me. It's for other people. Your input is greatly appreciated 😄
