Recently found a deep appreciation for the Beast of Prey armor, and the Battle Master Helmet goes surprisingly well with it. This combo has saved me from the Vox Engines grenade spam, whatcha think?

Another lance of my homebrew merc company mechs
Former members of the Star League Defense Forces, those that did not leave with Kerensky. Created by former SLDF Captain Vincent Pierce and spread out amongst the Periphery as territorial units.
Serving during each subsequent Succession War in some manner, whether as supervisors or combatants. As well as the many border skirmishes the Houses fought. They started with quite a few SLDF mechs designs, but eventually started fielding whatever they could get their hands on, including pushing Frankenmechs out onto the field.
When the Clans invaded and Lost Tech became more common, many of their old mechs got a new lease on life. Upon meeting their former comrades descendants on the battlefield had been a shock, until the first shots were fired, then it became clear they were the enemy.
By the time of the Jihad Era, the Pioneers were in high demand, their track record for professional work and cost effective methods spoke volumes. Many a Word of Blake Jihadist found themselves at the end of a Pioneer blade.
Current status: Active ~ based out former SLDF Support World Cobsworth
A lance of my homebrew merc company's mechs. A Bushwacker, Vindicator, Battleaxe, and a Blackjack. Still figuring lore out on the company and a good logo, but I think I nailed the colors
I know the community is saturated with fan made units, but this idea popped into my head while I was listening to a historical documentary on the WW1 Italian Front. I know there is a few cold weather units that are well established but none have the mountain/Alpine specialization. And I know most maps don't have serious mountain fighting. Its still just an idea that I think is cool and hope to see some day. We have plenty of horizontal maps, we need more vertical ones that really test how well a diver moves.
What do you all think? Does an Alpine unit have any place in Helldivers? Or is it wishful thinking?
Nothing crazy, just wanted to put put there that this subreddit has been very welcoming and inviting. And that everyone who I have interacted with here has been just been so cool. So thank you Mechwarrior community
