Simple things that helped me unstuck my IG growth

Around 3 months ago my account hit a wall. I was stuck with almost every statistic - views, followers, conversion. I tried almost every growth strategy I could find and I want to share what worked. Those shifts finally unstuck my growth so maybe they will help you too.

For content - the best thing I did was study accounts that were already viral it in my niche. Not to copy them word for word but to understand what topics, formats and hooks were already proven to work.

Another thing that helped was raising the volume of content. A lot of people nowadays say that it doesn't matter. I disagree. Every time you post you basically spin the wheel. The more times you spin the wheel the bigger chance you'll go viral.

The other thing I fixed was my profile. When someone lands on it they should immediately understand what you're about and want to follow. I rewrote my bio to clearly say who I am and who I help. I also put all my links in one place - used mysocial.ink for that - one time payment so it doesn't cost me monthly.

The profile optimization part is honestly the most underrated. You can have great content but if the profile doesn't convert viewers into followers you're just running in place.

Those small things helped me unstuck my growth. What's been working for you lately?

Things I wish someone told me before I started affiliate marketing

Most people fail not because the model doesn't work but because they pick the wrong products and go after niches that are already dead. Chasing popular products with high gravity on Clickbank sounds good until you realize a thousand other affiliates are doing the exact same thing.

Instead go for something niche and specific. "dog anxiety remedies" converts way better than "pet health"

For traffic YouTube and Pinterest are both underrated compared to the usual SEO advice. Pinterest especially because the audience tends to be people with money who are actively looking to buy things, not just browse.

For the actual setup you don't need anything complicated. A simple page with your affiliate links organized cleanly converts better than a messy blog with 10 banners. I use mysocial.ink for my link page. It's one time payment and does the job without a monthly subscription.

Biggest thing though - just start. Most people read about affiliate marketing for months and never actually set up an account. The learning happens when you're actually running something.

That's some tips I wish I heard when I was starting 6 months ago. I will be happy to hear what you think

I’ve categorized 770 viral copyright-free songs for shorts into one folder. Sharing it for free

Hello,

For the past few months, I've been using viral songs for my yt shorts because I noticed they significantly boost engagement.

While doing that, I’ve been saving and grouping every track by category- motivational, sad, etc. After a few months it has become a huge collection of copyright free music, so I decided to share it.

Here is the link to the Google drive with all the grouped songs. Everything for free. I will keep updating this folder with new viral tracks as they trend.

Cheers

▲ 6 r/SaaS

$0 for 6 months then $80 in 3 days

https://preview.redd.it/3hmzyhag3a0h1.png?width=1706&format=png&auto=webp&s=8c2cb11fe897c5c2437ffe6807ae20929216d598

I started my Technical founder journey one year ago. My first goal was to learn to code. So after half a year of learning I released my first SaaS. And it was trash. Then with a little bit more knowledge I released my second app. Also flopped - I had 30 free users but the pain point was too weak to make people buy.

It was really discouraging. I had a feeling that it's just too hard. I was watching countless startup stories on every social media wondering what they have that I am missing.

But thankfully I didn't give up. I decided to build something that people already are paying for. So I spent a whole week researching what I could create. I was looking for something that:

a) I could build on my own - so something relatively simple

b) Something that's already validated

I decided to create a link in bio page creator. And I know what you might be thinking - there's so much of "linktree alternatives" that there's no way that it might work out. And that's kinda true but I decided to differentiate myself from competitors by pricing model. I went for one time payment instead of subscription model. I found only one serious link in bio page creator who offered this kind of pricing model so I thought that it might actually be a great idea.

And after maybe a week of being active in subreddits where my ICP are I got my first paying user! and one day later another one! and three days after ANOTHER ONE!

It was a feeling hard to describe. Finally I felt that all this work wasn't for nothing. And I know that $80 is nothing crazy but for me it's more than money. It proves that I can do this SaaS thing. It will be my fuel for months.

If someone is curious here's a link to my new app. I'd really appreciate any feedback

Recently, I've been testing a new backlink building strategy for my website. I manually found 11 directories where you can submit your link, and I’ve already listed my site on all of them.

Did it work? Yes!

I’ve seen a significant boost in traffic. It’s coming from both SEO and direct clicks from people browsing these directories.

It’s a double win: you get direct referral traffic, and the backlinks provide the SEO authority needed to rank higher on Google.

The list consists of 11 high-authority websites. I’m sharing it for free. Just a Notion page with all the links: link

Most people obsess over content and completely ignore the profile. But when someone watches your reel and taps your username and your profile looks like a mess they just leave. I am telling that from experience because I had very bad views to followers conversion and I managed to fix that.

Here's what helped:

Profile photo - use something that matches your brand

Bio - you have 150 characters to answer three questions: who you are, who you help, and what they should do next. Most bios are either empty or a list of personality traits nobody cares about. Be specific. "Helping tattoo artists get clients through Instagram" beats artist / coffee lover / dog mom.

Link in bio - if you only have one link, send people directly there. But if you have multiple things to point people to (newsletter, portfolio, shop, other socials) use link in bio page to avoid mess. I use mysocial.ink for this - you pay once and own it forever instead of paying Linktree every month for basically the same thing.

Highlights - First highlight should tell new visitors what you're about. If your highlights are just random story archives with no covers, either clean them up or delete them.

Grid - doesn't need to be a perfectly color coordinated aesthetic but it should look intentional. Someone landing on your page should immediately understand what kind of content you make.

If you have problem with conversion/gaining audience I would try those tips. At least for me they turned out to be really helpful

I've been running 3 Instagram accounts across different niches and kept hitting the same wall. I was posting consistently, views were ok, but follows stayed flat. I started changing things, posting more, but nothing really worked.

Turns out the content wasn't the cause of the lack of new followers. When someone watches your reel and taps your profile you have seconds to give them a reason to follow. If your profile is a mess they leave. Instagram reads that as a signal your content isn't worth pushing. Your reach slowly dies and you think it's the content. Instead of having 5 links in my bio I put them all on mysocial.ink link in bio page. I also rewrote my bio and cleaned up my highlights. Fixing the profile before touching anything else was the thing that actually moved the needle first.

The other thing I got wrong for a long time was optimizing my content to generate more comments. I tried ragebaiting a little bit or saying some controversial stuff just to make people comment. Comments matter a lot less now (since new update). What Instagram actually cares about is skip rate and share rate.

And consistency matters but only after the basics are solid. Posting 14x a week with a broken profile and weak hooks is just consistently doing the wrong thing. Once everything was working together the consistency actually started compounding.

So here's what I've learned so far. I would also appreciate any good tips from you

Ok so I've been sending DMs and emails for like 4 weeks straight and getting nothing back. Maybe one or two "we'll keep you in mind" replies which basically means no.

What actually helped was stopping the random outreach and getting more organized. I made a proper portfolio page using mysocial.ink. I put my best videos on there, added a short bio and contact info, and just started sending that link instead of attaching stuff to emails. I think having one clean link made me look way more legit.

Anyway a small supplement brand hit me back two days ago and we just signed a deal for 4 videos. It's not huge money but honestly I don't even care right now, I just needed that first one.

If you're still waiting for yours, don't give up. It really does just take one yes.

How long did it take you guys to land your first client?
