Over here in America it kinda just taste like glorified Sugar Water. I got it from some shop in Chinatown and it was like the same price of a Coke. How does it taste in China and what’s the review of the drink over there since I never got it there and there might be a potential difference (maybe in shipping)
An example would be 要 Jyutping - Jiu but it’s actually pronounced like Yiu. Is there a language thing that made them prefer the letter J instead of Y? In my opinion it might easily make it harder to learn Cantonese as when people see this character for example and see the Jyutping, they might pronounce it as “Jew” instead of “You”

So I recently got a new iPad and I found out that new layout is absolutely awful. First of all, the History section is tucked behind settings which is a massive problem and second of all, they just just one massive video on my screen.
Is there any way possible to restore the old layout????

This is genuinely so frustrating. I’m designing a front for a toy and having symmetry is kinda important here. To make my shape, I combine multiple squares in Canva’s element section, however I can’t flip it. I have to download the entire section as a separate image then re-add it back to the design. Then also removes the ability to easily change color. WHYY CANVA WHYY

I think is this extremely unrealistic but essentially, the English invade New Amsterdam like usual, what changes is that some of the settlements around the current NY Bay Area would stay as Dutch city-states while the rest would go to England.
The main difference between this and modern day besides obviously the existence of the city states is that NYC, would not maintain the same degree of power as it does currently because its boundaries are limited between the Dutch city-states and never was able to rapidly expand like it does today. In fact, when the Erie canal was built, Jersey City (New Jersey City) ends up gaining the most amount of influence through this canal as it’s boundaries were not limited as much by the city-states as NYC was. This leads NJ to contain more power compared to NY.
The map here is essentially shows the Dutch States (Orange), New York and its cities (Blue) and New Jersey and its cities (Yellow)
As I’ve said before, this is extremely unrealistic but it’s interesting to think about.
