I am from Navi Mumbai, India and I have a decent sized flat in which I use a 1080p projector which can project update to 100 inch in my room which is 12ft X 14ft.

I’m looking to buy a 4K projector with HDR and good 3D support for a home cinema setup.

My priorities are:

Native or excellent-quality 4K

Good HDR performance

Full 3D support with good brightness and minimal crosstalk

High contrast and good black levels

Ideally 200"+ screen capable

Good motion handling for movies

Budget: ₹2–3 lakh

I’m currently considering options from Epson, BenQ, XGIMI and other brands.

Would love recommendations from people who have actually used these projectors, especially for 4K HDR + 3D movies.

Also interested in hearing about:

Best projector for pure movie watching

Best HDR performance

Best 3D experience

Best value for money

I’m planning to upgrade my projector and have narrowed it down to two XGIMI models: the HORIZON 20 Max and the TITAN Noir Max.
On paper, the TITAN Noir Max looks like a significant step up, especially with its much higher native contrast, brighter output, dual-iris system and improved optics. But the HORIZON 20 Max seems more practical and considerably easier to live with.
For those who have used either/both:
Is the TITAN Noir Max’s better contrast and black levels really noticeable in real-world movie watching?
How much better is the picture quality compared with the HORIZON 20 Max?
Is the extra brightness actually useful, or is it overkill for a typical living room?
How is the TITAN’s image quality with HDR and dark scenes?
Any issues with firmware/software on the TITAN?
How significant is the difference in gaming performance/input lag?
Is the TITAN worth paying a substantial premium over the HORIZON 20 Max?
If you had the money to buy either today, which one would you choose and why?
My primary use will be movies and TV shows, with some gaming. I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually compared these two rather than just looking at the specifications.
Would love to hear your real-world experiences and whether you think the TITAN Noir Max justifies the extra cost.
