Number 1: Arquebus’ flagship;

during the mission where you fight snail during the liberator of rubicon ending we hear over the coms from arquebus “We’re losing the flagship!” While sure this may be about the Arquebus balteus they can just make more of those with their previous design, I believe that in part of the second troop regiment they sent to rusty contained Walter, but he snapped, broke free, and assasinated rusty and then he hid aboard the xylem

Number 2: (TITLECARD) rummy

During the mission in grid 082 you “kill” invincible rummy, I think he may have lived. Take the ice worm mission, during this mission it’s common for you teammates AC’s to get destroyed but they all withdrawal from their AC’s if this happens, in the protecting the dam mission if you kill the other king/chartruce tell the other to withdrawal but it’s implied that they either went down with the ship or were late on the draw, and in the fight in the tunnels both rusty and flatwell survive, with flatwell also evacuating if he dies when you assassinate the vespers along with pater when you kill him. As well as rummy’s own lore mentioning that he’s lost several times so he’s a prime escape artist at this point. And ayre only says “hostile AC destroyed” not “hostile pilot slain”

During the final ending, you >!kill allmind, it causes coral release with the vascular plant blowing up into like a sun.!< From what I’ve gathered the trigger for coral release is the death of a coral life form so killing you and ayre, and since I’m removed dialogue it’s said that the cool blue stuff the final boss’s powered by is pure jimmy neutron brain blast energy which behaves like coral, so killing the final boss causes it. But if so why did it not happen in the >!fires of raven ending when you kill ayre?!< So my theory is that after rummy’s brave service to defend grid 082 Carla retired him from AC piloting and he helps her and chatty fix up their mechs and work on the rail cannon for ice worm. So Rummy’s on the xylem like smoking a coral joint, sipping his capri-sun and thinks to himself “man, where’s the gang at? We should play uno dawg.” He looks out the window and sees >!his brother from another mother Walter and the boss lady Carla fighting the vespers and goes like “oh damn! Gang in trouble!” He gets his AC on and gets out there to Carla but she’s been mortally wounded and they’re out in space, she looks at rummy, looks at Walter, and she knows they’re lowkey cooked so she tells rummy to go to the vascular plant and just go to town on it. So he gets there and he is absolutely rummying it all over the place while 621 and ayre are dueling allmind for the fate of the heart of the cards, so when allmind dies due to rummy’s absolute buffoonery enough coral has been made to cause coral release because when coral is with other coral it multiplies,!<

And that’s how rummy saved the day.
