Used Vs new

Looking at jumping in and aiming for an entry to mid level bike

Normally on a bike I wouldn’t be scared at all of used but what’s it like for e-bikes with motors and such, is used riskier or are we comfortable? The savings / value is so much better used!

Also eyeing shops selling their rental fleet

Light assist vs full power

Looking at first e mountain bike and coming from a road bike wanting trail and cross country riding

Looking at bikes like Moterra, Levo, Sight, but also saw the trek fuel but it appears to be a light assist

Thoughts on jumping in and onto what?

Entering trail biking

18 years ago I got a Norco storm to ride small trails and paths and now that’s my dad bike, towing the trailer and I got a wicked road bike.

But my wife and I want to try more trail riding as our kids get better at biking.

We are thinking e mtb maybe at least for her to make it enjoyable on climbs and such.

We were only looking full suspension but is a hard tail suitable for trails or is the ride just that uncomfortable?

Budget would be around $3000 per and we’d be happy going used.

Staying in Invermere for a weekend

I got one round away from my family

I’ve already played
Grey wolf
Radium springs
Eagle
Copper (both)

I’m looking at Fairmont Mountain / River but reading their in shitty shape and radium springs is still a reasonable rate at $150.

Is it worth playing a new course (Fairmont) or are they they tough

Ruling out GW since I don’t wanna be gone as long from the young kids

Eagle at $200 seems a stretch for what it is personally

Does anyone have a tent that connects off the back and / or an inflatable mattress that fits well in the Qx80?

We have a 2024, with bucket seats.

Looking to get camping set up

Calendar management

I am a sales manager 1 step below director and in a future director training at work. I work in food distribution which is fast relationship selling, sales repeat but can come and go

Yesterday in a training my VP said when you show up to work in your roles you should have at least 3-4 hours available to lead in a day and not be bogged down

I struggle with this. Some of my days are jammed with customer meetings. We are on the road 3+ days a week either with our reps or visiting their customers.

For anyone in customer facing leadership roles
What does it look “having leadership in the calendar” look like?

I guess I look at my calendar and it’s rocking but what in your calendar is leadership time

Craving another Asia destination but this time with kiddos

Wife and I want to travel back to Asia next trip. We’ve done Japan pre kids but now have a 6 and 3 year old

We’re looking either Korea or china for 2 weeks

For anyone that has done it with kids what destination would you prefer?

Obviously aware we’d only make likely 2 cities in china in that time. Likely one being Beijing to do the Great Wall with ease

Korea we can go direct to Seoul

Looking forward to insight

Excursions for new cruiser

My wife and I are on our first cruise this December, with 2 kids (6/3)

We see a few activities on the app that are on discount right now! We like the sound of booking so we’re stress free with 2 young ones to do something!

Just wondering if the prices are actually good being shown (35% off)

Right now looking at the drakes seat, Magen’s bay and sky ride in one!

Thanks for your help!

Justifying increase mortgage for better location

Hi all

I’m married 36m and my wife 35, kids are 5/3. Located in Calgary

We have lived in the same community for 12 years and bought when it was just getting going about 5 years old, but it hasn’t come together as they promised. The HOA is poorly ran and aside from a lot of chain commercial, there is no good amenities mainly for families.
Also no surprise for Alberta the school that has been planned forever is still minimum at best 3 years out

We’re exploring moving staying within the nw of Calgary. No matter where we move within it our mortgage will go up to meet our needs

We make 210k household plus I get a solid bonus annually but don’t count that.

Our new home would COST, I’m maxing, at about 4.5x our income and after the sale of ours I’d estimate we put down 20%

I guess what I’m asking is have you ever gone and spent a bit more than where you’re at to get to what looks like a better spot for your family to be for school age? How did it work for you, regret taking the financial shift to do it?

Our goal would be next house absolute minimum gets our youngest through high school and likely beyond unless we face a major change.

Tool organization

What are y’all using to keep tools organized?

I don’t have to many
WDT
PF
Dosing ring
A brush
Tamp

I have a Breville bambino plus and was looking at buying something on Etsy that hangs off the side but open to suggestions

Everything on Amazon is catered to more tools

Thanks!

Finding out how strapped we are for kindergarten and care options

My 5yo starters kinder garden in the fall

Current kids go to a day home; and We just found out our day care we were going to move to has removed the bus route to the school for kindergarten we were enrolled in.

We than go lottery moved from morning to afternoon class; and now we cannot find any day cares / transportation that have room for afternoon to our school. They’re all on waits

My real question is how is 3 hour kindergarten still a thing in this age followed by the obvious of “wow we’ve let schools, day cares and support fall behind our needs”

What are other parents doing who face this situation?

Best practices

Hoping some of you longer term users can share some best practices.

A few questions around AI as well
- It seems forgetful. So I set mine up to send me 3 daily updates and I’ll ask questions within those updates that are usually “new chats” so is it forgetting some things that were in previous chats?
Example I told it I no longer was golfing yesterday in the mid day update the next day; it acknowledged and gave me a plan that was adjusted for a gym session no golf. and than the night update talked all about golf prep again.

Edit - I just realized the morning, mid day and night updates are three separate chats not new every time.

- also I figured out the logging food (my miss) but sometimes it still misses water and caffeine?

Thanks for help on the above points and looking forward to seeing some others tricks that they like

Water caffeine logging

I cannot figure out how to log water and caffeine or AI is t recognizing it which is so annoying for good feedback.

It says it’s “in a cart” and to “log it” but I cannot find any button that says log

In the app under journal - hydration; I hit “add 250ml” water and have accurate times.
They’re all showing under hydration

So why is AI missing it

Hi all

Popping into this space as a customer here seeking advise and help

Tonight we had our furnace company come out to run a regular maintenance on our air-conditioning before we turned it on for the season.

The tech had a shadow tech with them on site. When they were replacing something in our furnish room, they put a nail through, I believe they said the coil from the air conditioner unit in our furnace, and it leaked refrigerant, assuming Freon.

They stopped the leak, and shut it all off. The basement is very hazy right now and we are currently venting out the whole house. I’ve shipped the wife and kids to the in-laws for the night.

A few questions here

  1. they’ve said at its current state it is not toxic, I can see it in the air, and I can feel the tickle in my throat, but nothing else. Can we confirm for my own comfort lol

  2. it sounds to be contained in the furnish room, the Hayes is throughout the basement. Is it toxic to any of the things and other rooms down there?

  3. they have another tech coming tomorrow to do a full cleanup and repair. What repairs should I be looking for?

Thank you, experts for the help

Had a good run on this bag of beans and I’m struggling now.

Zero change in work flow

19g in and the flow is so slow it takes almost 15 seconds to get any sort of shot coming

After infusion it starts a very slow drip

What have I done wrong?
