I got chemical engineering at NIT jalandhar and I wanna do research in that field

I want to know if the professors are supportive

As I wanna go to higher studies at top uni's

I would have to have research experience

I wanna ask are they helpful

For me the bakchodi was the main reason for attending college

I studied ( not grinded, had a life )

Got 96.5ile and will get mech in my home state nit

( Also I wanna do mech and that was my main target 🎯 )

I have no problem of joining but since I live within 30km of my nit

I am apparently ineligible to get hostel and have to be a day scholar

I don't wanna spend another 4 years at home

So I will be taking a drop

I live in Kapurthala and I live 30 min away from institute by car

Will I be able to get hostel room??

I am a dropper and this is my plan

Jo ch pehele se aata hai ( 70% of syllabus)

Uske sirf notes + 5year pyqs karne hai ( 21-25 )

Jo nhi aata ( full organic+ some chapters )

Lectures from abj sir, alk sir, tarun sir, RA sir

All available PYQ's

If still not confident then books like hcv, n awasti, ms chauhan, cengage

I plan to follow mathongo test series and complete my syllabus accordingly

Got 96.4ile in mains

Complete syllabus by 1st dec

Then give QFT's and 2026 papers as mock

Is this enough or should I add something else ??

I had a thought that if we wanna kill the rat race among jee aspirants
and to have passionate engineers and Less stressful environment for people
All we need is to stop on campus hiring and colleges
Like in western countries.
All the people who are not passionate about engineering and only do it for the money will be wiped out since off campus placement will be skill based
