PF Transfer Claim Pending for Over a Month Despite Grievance Being “Settled”

I raised an EPFO claim to transfer my PF balance from an Exempted PF Account to a Non-Exempted PF Account

It has now been over a month, but the claim status is still showing “Pending at Field Office.” The transferred amount is also not reflecting in my new PF account.

I also raised a grievance with EPFO

The grievance was disposed of with a response stating that the claim was settled on 23 June 2026. However, despite this, the claim status still shows “Pending at Field Office”, and there is no credit/transfer of the amount in my new PF account.

Has anyone faced a similar situation with EPFO transfer from an Exempted to Non-Exempted establishment?

What should I do next to get this resolved? Should I raise another grievance, contact the regional PF office directly, or wait further?

Any guidance from someone who has gone through a similar EPFO transfer would be appreciated.

I had one of the most frustrating interview at Coforge.

The interviewer spent almost 30 minutes grilling me only on the SOLID principles. Instead of asking scenario-based or real-world design questions, he wanted me to write code for every single SOLID principle.

I explained all five principles and even wrote code for the SRP, Open/closed & Liskov, i did not write code for Interface segg & Dependency inversion i just explained him verbally because i was already frustrated in first 3.

For the SRP, I started with an OrderService class containing methods like CreateOrder(), ProcessPayment(), and LogEvent().

I explained that this class has multiple reasons to change. If the order creation logic changes, the payment processing changes, or the logging mechanism changes, the same class would need to be modified. Since these are different responsibilities, I suggested separating them into different classes such as OrderService, PaymentService, and LoggingService.

The interviewer responded by saying:

>"How is this SRP? Just creating separate classes doesn't mean you've achieved SRP."

He then asked:

>"If OrderService has CreateOrder(), can it also have EditOrder() and DeleteOrder()? Aren't you adding more responsibilities?"

I replied that yes, those methods can belong in the same class because they all represent the same business responsibility Create, Edit, and Delete are all operations on the Order domain .

I further explained that payment processing and logging are separate concerns , which is why they should be moved to separate classes.

As another example, I mentioned DTOs. DTOs are typically kept separate from domain or service classes because their responsibility to transfer data to business logic.

For the Open/Closed Principle, i wrote below code

public class PaymentProcessor
{
    public void ProcessPayment(string status)
    {
        if (status == "Success")
        {
            // Success logic
        }
        else if (status == "Failed")
        {
            // Failed logic
        }
        else if (status == "Pending")
        {
            // Pending logic
        }
    }
}

I explained that this design violates the Open/Closed Principle because every time a new payment status is introduced (for example, Cancelled or Refunded) or the logic for an existing status changes significantly, I have to modify the PaymentProcessor class.

To make the design follow OCP, I refactored it by introducing an IPaymentProcessor interface.

public interface IPaymentProcessor
{
    void ProcessPayment();
}

public class SuccessPaymentProcessor : IPaymentProcessor
{
    public void ProcessPayment()
    {
        // Success payment logic
    }
}

public class FailedPaymentProcessor : IPaymentProcessor
{
    public void ProcessPayment()
    {
        // Failed payment logic
    }
}

public class PendingPaymentProcessor : IPaymentProcessor
{
    public void ProcessPayment()
    {
        // Pending payment logic
    }
}

Now, if a new payment status such as Cancelled needs to be supported, I simply create a new CancelledPaymentProcessor class implementing IPaymentProcessor. The existing payment processor implementations remain unchanged.

His response?

>"This is wrong. What is this if-else condition? Just separating classes means you've achieved Open/Closed?"

At that point, I had mentally checked out. I just wanted the interview to end. The interviewer was very rude, i think he was busy in his work and joined the interview, he sounded more bossy then interacting 1 to 1. I dont know what was he expecting

I'm all for discussing SOLID principles, but spending half an hour writing textbook examples feels disconnected from how software is actually built. I'd much rather discuss where SOLID applies in real systems, trade-offs, refactoring existing code, dependency injection, testing, or designing maintainable applications.

Has anyone else had interviews where the focus was entirely on textbook definitions and toy examples rather than practical software engineering?

I have everything I thought I wanted, but I dont feel happy anymore.

Im a 34 married man with one kid. I live with my parents in Mumbai. On paper, my life looks good.

Over the last 11 years, my salary has gone from ₹2.5 LPA to around ₹35 LPA. I own a home, have a car, and I'm financially comfortable. I'm grateful for all of it, and I know many people would love to be in my position.

But I dont feel happy.

I'm never satisfied. I have a job, but I don't enjoy it. I have a home, but I don't like living there. Every financial milestone that I thought would make me happy only gives me satisfaction for a few days before I'm chasing the next thing.

I've also lost interest in almost everything else. I don't enjoy spending time with family. I avoid family gatherings. I don't feel like going out. I've stopped caring about my health, grooming, skincare, or even hobbies. Most days I just exist and go through the motions.

One thought that scares me is this: sometimes I feel like I just want to earn as much as I possibly can, make sure my kid's future is financially secure, and then be done with life. It's similar to how Walter White in Breaking Bad initially wanted to leave money behind for his family.

I'm not actively planning to hurt myself, but these thoughts keep coming back, and I don't understand why. From the outside, I have almost everything I wanted, yet I feel empty inside.

Has anyone here gone through something similar? Did therapy help? Was it depression, burnout, or something else? I would really appreciate hearing from people who've been in a similar place.

Are Small Finanance bank are safe for RD ?

Im planning to start a recurring deposit of 50k per month with Suryoday Small Finance Bank because @8.25%

Im a bit concerned about the safety aspect. I understand that deposits are insured by DICGC only up to 5L and with a 50k monthly RD, Ill cross that limit in less than a year.

Has anyone here invested significant amounts with Suryoday SFB or other small finance banks?

Do you consider them safe for long-term RDs?

Worst Hiring Process at Capgemini. No Budget then why call for Walkins interview.

I was interviewed on 9th May for Walk In Drive for .NET Full Stack ReactJs.

Before attending Walkin Interview i clearly told HR that my current Salary is 32LPA and im expecting same salary, they said thats fine.

On same day, I Cleared all Rounds and HR called me next week Monday for Documentation, on call HR said 32LPA is not our budget, I replied him then why are you calling for Interview and wasting entire day if no budget.

HR said i will get approval from Manager.

After sharing documents, there is no updates from him its been 10days.

Seriously Capgemini hiring is worst ,if they dont have budget then why do even call for interview, during interview they expect Ful Stack dev who should work on Front end ,backend, Devops, Microservices and they cant give Salary ?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to clarify my situation and get advice from people who ve been through something similar.

- I got my H1B picked and stamped (valid till 2027)

- But I never traveled to the US

- Later, I resigned from that employer

Now I’m considering re joining my employer back in the future (maybe 2028).

My questions:

  1. Since I was already counted in the H1B cap, will I remain cap-exempt in future?

  2. If I rejoin the same employer (or even a different one), can they file a new H1B petition without lottery?

  3. Will I still get full 6 years since I never entered the US?

  4. Has anyone here done this after a gap of few years? Any issues during stamping?

Would really appreciate if someone with real experience or knowledge can confirm 🙏

Thanks in advance!
