Cheeseburger’s cutest loaf
He’s like a curious kitty 🥹
Started T on the 21st :))
My self-proclaimed obligatory keeping-track-of-changes-everyday selfie that I will more than likely forget to take everyday
Accurate depiction of how Cheeseburger’s step-up training is going
He utilizes his entire being to branch the gap. His tummy is very soft. Fat bird.
Edit: I didn’t think so many people would see the finger as anything else LOL you guys are funny
Promise to myself
Maybe it’ll be easier to be kind to myself if I think of myself as another person. Maybe it’s my inner child trying to heal me
Starting HRT Today!!!
I DID ITTTT!!! I had a telehealth appointment at Planned Parenthood and it went well! I figured to write out exactly how things went for those who are like me and are more anxious or need a ton of details to feel more comfortable with doing things.
I made a telehealth appointment via the Planned Parenthood website. It’ll have you select what the appointment is for and what day and time it will be. In the meantime there’s a few personal information things that you can fill out in MyChart (insurance, preferred name, allergies, medications , pharmacy, etc.). If you don’t have insurance you can send a message concerning billing and insurance to ask if there’s any financial assistance that can be offered.
The appointment call is on MyChart (it’s like a Zoom meeting within the browser). I joined on my phone, but you can join on a computer too (I’m unsure if a webcam is required or not but I had my camera on the whole time).
Day of the appointment, I was able to join the call a few minutes early. I waited a decent amount of time (about 20 minutes) before someone joined. We went through the usual healthcare screening questions (mental health, relationships, drug use, etc). We also went through an informational document about testosterone and the changes that could occur, what’s temporary and permanent, and other risks. She sent the document to my MyChart and I signed off on it (it showed up right under my appointment on the home screen). I was also asked for a recent blood pressure reading (I already have a blood pressure cuff at home because of the medication I take).
For the first year or so I have to have labs for my appointments. I had the option of going to a Planned Parenthood or a Labcorp location for my bloodwork (I chose a Labcorp). Then she left the call and a provider joined.
We went over what I had discussed with the previous person, and a little extra, such as what my goals are. I said I wanted to start on a lower dose and take things slow, and preferably with gel. She informed me that some insurance policies are tricky with covering gel, and are more likely to cover gel if you’ve tried injections first and deemed it difficult.
She sent the bloodwork test request to Labcorp (I can go to any Labcorp location, and I’ll bring my ID and insurance just in case), and the testosterone prescription to my pharmacy.
Now I just wait for my follow up appointment in 3 months! My dose is 20.25 mg (1.62%) and one pump a day
Chameleon
I have ADHD. I’ve been masking for my entire life and disassociating before I knew that’s what it was. I feel like I’m the source of my own trauma sometimes. I’m hard on myself for simple things, or not being good enough. It’s hard to feel pride in myself no matter what I do. My brain just doesn’t function right. I guilt myself for doing things or not doing things. I have things I like, but then what. i feel like a chameleon, a mannequin. When I’m alone and don’t mask, I can’t pinpoint who I am. I don’t really feel like a person or that I’m a living thing.
I don’t know how to explain this feeling to people.
