Little visit from the local crumb inspector. Don't forget to leave suitable vittles out for yours!

Brought 24 donuts and 2 tirimasus to a party and didn't get a single crumb of feedback

I don't think the donuts were bad, since I took 24 and only took 3 home and like almost half the big tirimasu was gone, it was 15 kilos of tirimasu so it was silly to expect that whole tray to go. We spent 7 hours prepping it all so I at least wanted to know if they were good or bad. We actually went around to neighbours to give them the tirimasu that was left over because we didn't want it to waste and only one person thanked us.

Homemade donuts to fill with homemade fig jam from my fig tree's pathetic figs

I made these for a friend's barbecue, gonna fill them with homemade fig jam and dark chocolate glaze them just before :3 my partner made a giant tiramisu (and a chocolate no coffee tiramisu for meeee). I split ONE of the donuts in half to get a crumb shot, turned around to get my phone, turned back and he had eaten it :')

The weather meant my figs never properly ripened but they got soft enough I could boil out the bitter sap and make a solid jam

If someone put up flags without permission on a private estate road and the management company removed them and charged residents, what legal options do we have in England?

So someone put cheap flags up a few weeks ago, which are sort of fraying and dropping debris now. The management company for the estate said they would remove them but this would likely incur fees because safely removing them from lamposts requires extra labour and equipment. We know who did it and that they bragged about it via social media. Is there any recourse we might have to be reimbursed for the additional cost or at least stop the person repeating the behaviour? The person is not a resident on the estate.

The dog daycare I volunteer at because I can't find work just hired new staff.

I've been out of work for a number of years because of illness. I've been well enough to work for months but because of my CV gap and some limitations like no heavy lifting it's been difficult to find anything. So I decided to volunteer in my field, I have a related degree that qualifies me to work with animals in a professional capacity. So I've been volunteering there for most of the year unpaid doing the work of paid staff. Last week they spoke infront of me about giving a clerical job to one of their friends and this week I came in to find they'd hired new staff... I didn't expect them to hire me but they know my finances are dwindling and I'm desperate for paid work and they didn't even tell me they had a position going. It just feels so shit

Missed connections; did you see me with a brightly coloured parasol and ask if I'd make one and then text me and not get a reply?

If you're reading this post thinking YES then I think I gave you the wrong number by accident. Thats my bad, I'm inept with my phone. Drop me a message on reddit. If you know the person this is referring to please let them know :')

Should carpet be removed when building a built in unit and what are the reasons for removing it besides not pissing off the next person who needs to carpet that room?

Can anyone recommend me a printer who will print just one very small sticker?

I need to print a very small sticker for part of a loved ones birthday present. It's round, 17mm and my home printer just can't handle the fine detail, but I'm struggling to find somewhere online that'll let me print just one sticker or one that small.

Captured field vole rescue successful🫡

Chased down a local cat with a screaming field vole in its mouth and returned it to whence it came. It didn't have any injuries and seemed bright and alert so hopefully it's alright

Is this too low? Would any higher be too high?

The centre of the screen is about eye level on the wall, I couldn't really move much stuff out the way for the photos sorry bout that. We have a pretty low sofa. We still need to fit in a fairly chunky speaker under the TV and want AV and gaming stuff there too.

Tried to take a photo of a hedgehog in my garden and the poor thing got RKO'd out of nowhere by another hedgehog

It just ran in, put the smackdown on this poor little hedgehog, shook him around like a ragdoll and sprinted off into my hydrangeas. I left some hedgehog food for him for when he came out of his ball and he scarfed it down and left.
