Looking to Refinish This Fly Fishing Organizer (Need Recs on Stain and Color)

I'm looking to refinish (a different color) this fly rod/fly fishing organizer which I am guessing is made of pine? Should I use a a water-based stain after a pre-stain conditioner? or just a gel stain or....? As to color, I'm trying to decide between doing a reddish-brown or some sort of a darker natural golden color to color coordinate with my fly rod tubes. Any suggestions or ideas would be welcomed greatly!

Field no. 5 (Factory Seconds)

My new egg pan arrived today and I am beyond happy because I cannot find or see any blemishes or imperfections so I'm not even sure why it was sold as a "seconds" pan? Same with the leather handle cover, I couldn't see any flaws. So basically these are like the new items sold in their regular listings.

Renter: Changing The Lock/Knob On A Room I Rent To Secure My Belongings?

I rent a room in a house and will be taking a trip and will be gone for several days. I currently do not have a way to lock and secure my room while I'm gone to keep my thieving Landlord /Roommate out of my room while I'm gone to keep him from stealing my things. Would I be within my rights as a tenant to change the door knob on there with one that locks so that I can keep my room and valuables locked and secure while I am gone those days?

Male 45, Struggling With Basic Function, Is It Extreme Laziness or Something Else?

I spend all day laying on my lovesac enjoying the effects of ADHD meds and caffeine but I'm really struggling to take basic care of myself. I'm struggling to make myself get up and make me something to eat, even something quick and easy. I'm struggling to make myself get up and go take a shower, showering only once or twice a week. Even things I would think I would enjoy doing and be motivated to do I just put off and never get them accomplished. I feel like a vegetable. Could it be Low Testosterone? Overstimulation due to ADHD meds? Depression? or am I just extremely lazy? It's been like this for me for the past several years with it getting worse each year. I need to figure this out so that I can function and live a normal life again.

Nearly 3 weeks post op and the main incision is still quite painful

Like it was a week or two afterwards, I'm still having to brace it and ice it while lying down on my lovesac.

Why so few mentions of big incision pain post surgery?

All I read about is shoulder pain, gas pain, discomfort ect, but for those who have had laproscopic, why next to no mention of severe pain in that main abdominal incision above and to the left of your belly button (starting upon waking up from the surgery) where they suture up the incision in the abdominal wall? Minus the first day, that was the only pain I've had and it was miserable.

First Post-Op Shower: How long did you go before having the courage to take your fist shower?

I'm on Day 12, about to take my first shower. My fear is bending and twisting in order to get my lower body down to my knees clean. I'm afraid of splitting my suture or rupturing my abdominal incisiont.

Showering Post OP: How to clean lower half of body?

I'm not a skinny guy and I've been in too much pain with movement that I've been afraid to shower, so much so that I haven't showered since my surgery on Tues 5/5. What scares me is the potential pain and injury resulting from the twisting and bending needed to get clean, especially the lower half of the body (I have a big belly). I need some ideas on how to get totally clean without injuring my abdominal incision site.

Extreme Incision Suture Pain While Reaching Down for the floor.

10 Days post op and up until today, I could (though painfully

) pick light things up from the ground/floor but now the pain from the tension on my internal abdominal sutures now makes it impossible. Is this normal?

I'm Day 9 Post Op. What kind of physical activity is ok and what should I still avoid?

Had my surgery on 5/5 and I've been resting the whole time doing very little physical activity so that internal incision site in my upper left abdomen can heal asap, but want to start doing chores and lifting things, etc.

Severe sharp pain on main incision site?

There is an incision on the upper left quadrant of my abdomen that feels like I am being stabbed and ripped open by a hot knife each time I move in certain ways. I had the surgery on Tuesday of last week, it's fine now that I haven't moved much in hours and took some hydrocodone and ibuprofen. Any idea of how long I should expect for this sharp pain to go away?
