Do the slow mentzer reps actly make a difference and how should I perform them?

I've started to read his book with John little and I've found myself agreeing on a lot of things but I don't get thr point of uber slow reps. I tried them out today going around 2 on the the 4 on tbe Positive and 2 on the contraction and I felt an intense burn. But as I've learnt from mentzer the burn doesn't necessarily mean anything

How to deal with the feeling of not being strong enough?

I've been lifting on and off for around two years but in the past two months I've started taking lifting more serious watching my diet and all that. I've honestly made more progress in these two months than I have in two years. I've gained twenty pounds and almost every session my lifts are going up on everything. Despite this I just can't keep moving the goalposts and whenever any lifts go up so do my expectations leaving me feeling dissatisfied with any progress I've made. Any advice or sitar experiences?

What would be a good song to use as a technique builder?

I'm not really a metal fan I'm more of a rock blues kinda guy but I do recognize metal players have on average far better technique. I really dread the idea of using a bunch of exercises to practice technique. So I wanted to ask if there was a metal song or solo that had things like sweep picking alternate picking and legato that I could use to practice technique. Also it would have to be in standard.

How shoud I get into paintings?

I'm looking to get into paintings (not really making any but I enjoy looking at em) what can I do to find paintings I like? Is there like a compilation book I can get or something? If it helps my favorite paintings are Saturn devouring his son and Study after Velázquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X. I'm not sure if this would help but my favorite bands are cream, the beatles, the hendrix experience. My favorite authors are aldous Huxley, Plato, and Rene guenon.
