Can anyone explain why a single Walmart in my city will randomly mark down games that are brand new? Did someone make their decision or does a stock system just spit out the price without anyone choosing it?

This game JUST came out in March so idk why it's half off..

There are three Walmart's in my city their game prices are always random af.

This price was only at one location.

Can anyone explain why this happens?

You know a game is excellent when it's remake is a 1:1 conversion from the original. What other retro games fit this mould?

If you could wipe your memory and experience one game again for the first time again, what would it be?

Mine is obviously SMRPG.

This game blew my mind as a kid in '96.

It was so funny, challenging and mysterious.

It changed what I thought a game *could* do.

What about you?

How many Mario Bros. is too many?

The light grey cart is a PAL "Asian Version" which was sold in a few different Asian counties.

The Mario/Tetris/Nintendo World Cup is a PAL version that was exclusive to Europe.

These two versions can be played on an NES with a disabled lockout chip (a very simple mod).

Because they're PAL they play ~20% faster so I call them "Speedy Mario Bros." and "Hard Mode Tetris" 😅

The Mario/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet has two versions:

Red Hat Mario (which came first and has no Nintendo Seal)

And the White Hat Mario version.

Fun fact! These game cases hold NES and GB manuals perfectly.

I thought I should share this with some people who might appreciate knowing this 🙂 happy retro gaming!

Ever bought a second copy of something for a silly reason like "the label is cool"? 😅 What was it?

These two games are exactly the same.

I just love the art on the yellow one and had to have it.

The yellow one is from the "Classic Series" rerelease in the 90s.

Hot take: we should not say "Jesus" or "God" or any alleged deity's name: we should say "the Jesus-character" and "the god-character" to make it clear this we're making an internal critique, not talking about a figure we think exists.

Title basically says it all but to elaborate:

It's very common for theists to think that we say "Jesus sucks for reasons xyz" to hear "I believe that Jesus exists and I'm mad at him".

When we frame it as "the Jesus-character sucks for reasons xyz" it's clear that you're making an internal critique of the Jesus-character and not suggesting that they're real.

What do you think?
