So, about a week or so ago I woke up to the sound of UK Drill playing on my college radio, and the one specific song I had caught I quite liked, however I didn't catch the lyrics

Spin around to today and I hear the song again and I try my hardest to make out some of the lyrics but I can't claw through the fuckass accent, and it is then I realized if I want to give a go at this again I'm gonna have to wait another week. I tried searching the internet for the playlist of the college radio, or it's programs, no luck, so either I wait a week to Shazam it (which MIGHT work given shazam has been shitting the bed on me recently + the signal on the station kinda sucks so getting close it gets drowned out by static) OR I could ask the most reliable place I know relative to anywhere else, so. Here is what I made of the lyrics, there's not many and they're probably very inaccurate, so forgive me

Hi, I'm somewhat new to producing, but before anything else is said I have to preface

I have a really shitty setup

My laptop technically "has" 8 gigabytes but 2.5 of them are hogged by windows telemetry, so I really have 5 usable gigs, except I kinda don't, because there's some nondescript onslaught of background BS sacking me down to only like, 30% of usable ram as a generous estimate, so I need to scrounge on performance hard

The second kicker is that I have almost all of the VSTs I got are stored on a hard disk drive, generally not the best format for storing entire VSTs, but either way, booting up a project while there are still VSTs sitting in it takes a STUPID amount of time

All of this combines to a predicament where I kinda have to immediately export all the finished patterns and things of the like into audio files so they aren't pure misery

And while this wasn't an issue with my previous project given it was drone and there's just an echo on everything, this time I have realized that due to the way the audio clips export, it's effectively impossible to create a proper loop

Exporting with the tail would usually work for blending, however given this specific preset has a prominent attack, the "hey this is an audio clip that's looped" effect becomes pretty obvious, but there's a thing for it, which is wrapping the remainder, however the wrapped remainder doesn't have a tail of it's own, meaning when you do string them together, you get that godawful click between them. So it looks like there's no winning, but I have a hard time believing that's the end of it

So what I'm wondering is is there a way to splice the tail end on the wrapped audio clip so where it isn't clicking? Or is there a way to get an audio clip where it's wrapped but it also has the tail end? Sorry there's a lot of potential solutions to this, can't really land on one

I've had quite a """""journey""""" with art, or rather, the lack of it, it's mostly just dreaming about it and then not doing anything to further it, which is the crux of the issue.

I've done a bit of self reflecting, and going over the fact that I am seemingly malignant to the ideas of practice, learning, finding the joys of actually creating, being happy with the things I can actually create, and have instead just been dawdling and daydreaming, but never doing. This behavior, to me, seems more in line with a consoomer who's just incredibly needy

Real artists actually enjoy, y'know, doing the fucking art, but I'll I've ever done is dream about superprojects and masterpieces and then crumble immediately due to lacking the brainpower or merit necessary to do so. As far as I know I am just an incredibly fat baby who needs constant bullshit shoved down their throat

Either that or I have some debilitating affliction and I just need The Vitamin^((TM))

I've been playing a bit of Pokemon TCG Live and I've been juggling between a couple of decks to see which will click, and I'm wondering if the types have different playstyles/approaches to nailing your opponent, my currentmost playstyles have been the Mega Sharpedo deck where I get Munkidori's ability Adrena-brain to slowly drag all the damage counters from my pokemon to the opponents (and then the occasional nuke that is Mega Sharpedo) and then the Dragapult EX deck where I have Duskclops/Dusknoir repeatedly kamikaze themselves to knock out either their current pokemon or their benched pokemon, and while these are kinda fun strategies they also seem to suck ass, I've had my ass folded into a neat little bow many a time

I have yet to try all of the decks BUT if you do know if the types have certain playstyles, please tell me so I at least know where to start looking for when it comes to playing and making decks. The game I'm most experienced in is MTG and my playstyles with that is usually either mono white lifegain or some form of green bullshittery. Not sure how that translates to pokemon but maybe it doesn't

While most of the soyjak party has been, for the most part, out of the problem for a while now, the Kiwifarms cunts in New Zealand have existed for I think MUCH longer and have gone practically unchecked. I've reported basically every account and even given them the wikipedia page to the Kiwi farms to show them that yes they are in fact a problem, but most of the reports have came back with "yeah we looked and we see nothing wrong"

It's another classic case of wplace throwing trans folks under the bus, but I find it quite odd given we were able to get rid of some of the shartlings back when they were active when they do the EXACT SAME SHIT. So, is there any way we can get the mods to listen or do we just need to keep beating them with a stick?

For most of my sapient life I have been acutely aware of how finite my time is, how much of it is actually usable, and how much of it is dwindling with how awful my physical health is. With that I have developed what I can only guess to be the best senses of intuition and foresight to walk the planet, because apparently nobody else on this goddamn planet has it. With every creative and noncreative endeavor I wish to pursue they all paint to the same road of "trial and error, eat shit a million times until you magically get it right while you're 40 and you're spine is giving in" but that sounds fucking deranged. I don't have that time. I don't have the time to just keep shooting darts behind my ass, what I CAN do is get it right the first time, it is POSSIBLE for me to get it right the first time and I have the apparently mythical skill of intuition to do so, but you don't believe in me.

Either I'm right, and I'm living in a world full of people who have no sense of doom, where I will spend the rest of my life as a loonie and watch the world happen the exact way I knew it would, or I AM a fucking loonie who's just writhing around on the floor like a fucking monkey, and it turns out the future is just wildly predictable, and that physics is wrong and determinism isn't real and everything just magically happens by chance, and my ability to predict is just me spewing shit out of my ass

I don't even want to be right I just want to know if I'm going insane or not. I feel like I'm going insane. I feel like I'm trapped in a box watching everything happen with no way to control it. I'm so fucking sick of living
