I'm new to bassin and I just realized humans are so stupid. We love buying things that look better than the next option. It would literally sell less if they were unpainted and the company would fail to stay competitive.
I'm guessing there's much more I'm going to have to learn to stomach.
Edit: I'm complaining about not realizing the weighted ends were going to chip paint into the water. I was also taken aback by realizing the sheer magnitude of paint being chipped into "freshwater". I wish we didn't need "shiny" things as humans. Very primitive, we are

Makes the practice all worth it. Doing the research, rigging it straight, doing the retrieves in practice a few times. Moving into a position and catching w no guidance. Very rewarding feeling and I do believe I am hooked.
I purchased a powdered mushroom soup/gravy mix a fungi professional at the local farmers market had prepared. It was amazing and the powder released, what looked like olive, oil into the soup. Not a lot, but enough to be super tasty.
