UVIC part of BSN program structure

Hello, I’ve been accepted into the Camosun PN2BSN program for this fall. From my understanding the bridge program is 10 months + 1 semester at Camosun then 1.5yrs at UVIC full time (year 3 and 4). I’m trying to sort out relocating and what my plans are for work during this time.

What is the schedule like for years 3 and 4? Ive heard that some practicums are over the summer. Are there any breaks during the program? (like winter/spring break, or times with a week or more off?). I’m currently working full-time as an LPN. I’m planning on going casual and picking up on breaks and/or if I’m home.

For upper level practicums can you request doing them in other communities on the island? I live over 2 hours away from Victoria and I’m curious if I’d be able to do them in my home hospital.

Thanks in advance!

Commute from Port Alberni once a week for ~4 months?

Hello, I will be attending Camosun college in the fall. The first semester of my program is once a week in person and the rest online. Come January it’s in person full time, so I will be relocating.

For Sept-Dec, I’m trying to sort out whether I should commute the 2.5hrs there and back once a week or find somewhere to stay. I would go home on the rest of the days to do coursework online and pick up shifts at my job. However I’m considering having the flexibility being able to stay there for a night or two if needed.

Has anyone done anything similar to this or have any experience/suggestions?
Thanks so much!

The medications I’m on cause me to sweat a lot, I’ve been using men’s old spice antiperspirant. I know antiperspirants work best when applied before bed however I shower in the mornings. I try and wait a bit to let it dry before putting my shirt on. All of my shirts have gotten that waxy build up on the sleeves and retain the scent of the product. I’m going to try the methods on r/laundry to remove it, however I’m also searching for a new antiperspirant to use.

Note; I’ve tried the dove clinical however I despised the liquidy application.

I’m open to any recommendations or suggestions, thank so much!
