A little update on our community effort :)

Quick update on the doctor list I’ve been putting together, we’re now at 200+ doctors, functional medicine specialists across the US. 🙌

A few of you dm'ed me about this which got me thinking about what could be useful next.

A lot of people are already uploading their Function Health results to ChatGPT to try to understand them. I was thinking it might be useful to have a simple place specifically for this, somewhere you could upload your results, dive deeper into the biomarkers, add your own notes, keep notes/questions for your doctor, prepare for a doctor visit, compare two tests, and eventually maybe even bring in wearable data.

Before I go down the rabbit hole of building it 😅, I wanted to ask here what would you actually want something like this to do?

I’m also thinking about adding a simple option where you can put in your city and email if you’re looking for a doctor in your area. Then if someone gets added to the list from your area, you’d get notified.

Would that be useful? Would love to hear what y'all think

Last week I posted about creating a database of doctors that are willing to dive into function test results, here is a list I started building.

If you have a doctor you would like to submit DM me and I can add them and if you like to access it here is the link - https://doctor-gatherer.lovable.app/ , used lovable to build this because Its easy to host it without buying a domain and a whole lot of maintenance, I am not very technical so this is the best I can do :) If anyone has better ideas on how to make this better, DM happy to work on it together.

Creating a database of clinicians actually interested in diving into test results

Hi everyone! I recently got my test results back from Function, but my PCP isn’t really interested in doing a deeper dive into them or looking at the bigger picture.

So I started looking for practices in my area that take a more proactive, preventive approach to care. I ended up calling at least 10 places before I found one that was actually willing to provide this kind of care.

I’m curious if anyone else has run into the same issue. If there’s enough interest, I thought it might be useful to put together a list of practices that genuinely offer this type of preventive, comprehensive care so others don’t have to call 10+ places to find one.

Would love to hear about your experiences and any recommendations!

Question to pet parents

Hi pet parents! I have a cat baby and usually take him to the same vet I’ve been going to for the past couple of years, but I recently noticed some new vet hospitals offering membership plans that cover things like annual checkups, certain tests, etc.

Curious if anyone here has considered switching to something like that or is currently a member of one? I also really like that some of them have an app where you can book appointments, view test results, request prescriptions, etc. Wondering if anyone has experience with these!

How i managed to still have snacks but in moderation

I love snacking, I cannot do it in moderation. I buy a bag of chips and finish them in one sitting. I crave savory snacks, spicy chips like Takis. So I found a solution. I got wasabi peanuts, I realized I cannot have more than 10 wasabi peanuts, because they are so spicy, you cannot binge eat them. I had the same tin of wasabi peanuts for a month now.

AI interview went wrong because AI got the wrong role

I had an interview today morning with a company hiring for a manager level role in a tech company, they are using an AI interview service. I joined the call, and first thing it confirms is if the role I applied to is the role I am getting interviewed for and my name. It got the role wrong, I stated that, instead of correcting itself or ending the call or doing anything else, it just keeps going. I ended the call in 2 minutes. The disrespect to the candidates in this job market is beyond anything I have ever seen.
