Animal Farm: Redux
Now, I've seen a lot of hate going around for the most recent film version of Animal Farm. And while I can see some of those points, I thought the film was...okay for what it is. So, I sought to rectify this via some changes of my own.
- Use a poster similar to the one shown above.
- Keep Snowball male.
- Set the film firmly in 1950's England.
- Make the cast all British, Welsh, Scottish or Irish.
- Have the film start off seeming like an overly cute cartoon animal movie, but then slowly but surely descend into the horrors the book presented, complete with an R rating.
- Keep the book's ending intact, though suggest that there may be some hope for the future.
- Play Ice-Nine Kills' "The Nature of the Beast" over the credits.
So, whaddaya think?
