How quick would you hit BINGO during your shift?
The whole board would be checked off by the end of my shift lmao

So long story short: I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. I have a galleyway kitchen and a tiny ass bathroom. I also have (possible but pretty likely) AuDHD and OCD.
~ Just unlike most OCD where it’s “avoid dirty surfaces because we can get sick and die!” I have an “I can’t let this dirty surface exist any longer, otherwise I’m a failure and I am not a responsible adult” ~
^ please keep this in mind!!!! ^
I just swapped out one of my medications a while ago that really affected my hormones, made me almost anemic, and in general feeling pretty crappy. I got another med switch to fix that, but now I’m dealing with an aftermath of burnout.
I tried to hire cleaners to come help me clean my bathroom and kitchen for around $250. Then I got hit with a huge dental bill for a root canal and crown for like $650. So had to say goodbye to the cleaners. I only make like $1000 biweekly with a $500 rent, so you can imagine that money got a tiny bit tighter than I wanted it to (with only $3,800 saved right now)
I tried my hardest to clean what I could. Using lemons and baking soda in my oven did nothing. A degreaser did nothing (neither the 401 remover or Easy Off heavy duty). My shower’s gunk is actually from the caulking itself that maintenance did only a year ago. I’d hate to call that guy back to do the same exact shitty job as last time. My toilet seat’s stain will not come out and I have to figure out how to replace that. I can’t reach into the tight cracks around my kitchen no matter how hard I try.
That cluttered area in my kitchen with the plant “terrarium” and kitchen table is also giving me a headache. Tried multiple times to declutter and it keeps going right back to this.
I’m tired of spending money on cleaners and obsessively scrubbing areas until my hands are numb. I re-contacted different cleaners just to see what they would charge me for just doing my kitchen’s little nooks and crannies. But I’m also wondering if spending that money is worth it at all.
I also grew up with my mom constantly cleaning as a way for her to destress. I guess it rubbed off on me. But I never saw her clean anything besides the surface-level stuff, yet my home was always just magically cleaned. My mom did teach me the basics of cleaning, but even when asking her now how to clean my oven, she just shrugs.
At what point can I just say “this is enough.” I have a hard time telling when anything is clean enough for just regular day living. I know nothing is going to look like when we first moved in. It’s just hard when I completely forgot that my oven needed to be cleaned, my fridge needs work, and there’s tons of other little things I never knew really needed to be dealt with.
(Posing here because other cleaning subs ridiculed me for not being able to do this stuff on my own)
I need a second opinion because this all just seems… weird.
So I’m FT. I have a PT coworker who’s been there for a few years.
When I started in December and worked with her for the first time, she asked for me to unlock the office door for her since she couldn’t find her keys. I did so, and I was putting my till away for break (back when we had separate tills). She then asked for a ride to another place after work so she could get a ride home. She mentioned she didn’t have enough money to get an uber from here to her house. Ok… thought it was a one-time issue and said sure.
ASM pulled me aside later that night and immediately asked if this coworker wanted a ride home from me. She mentioned this has been an ongoing problem where she begs people to drive her to places or drive her home all the time. Learned later that she could probably walk home.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I’m trying to stay friendly with her but everyone else seems to be upset by her not working fast/ not doing the job correctly. She tells me she recently moved (well, kicked out of her place) and whatnot. Now other coworkers are telling me if they want to switch shifts with her, she begs for a ride to and from work.
Now fast forward again to yesterday. Was told I needed an emergency root canal done ASAP. I scheduled it for a morning before a shift, and realized later on that it was probably not the best idea. Never had a root canal before but I rather not go back to work with my mouth gauzed up. This coworker seemed to be the best option. She said yes, but begged for money to get a ride home with Uber. I stupidly said sure since I really needed the coverage. She also would not switch shifts with me and just wanted to take my shift.
I sent a screenshot to my SM to confirm everything. Screenshot showed money I gave to this coworker.
I said thank you to the SM today at my shift. He questioned me giving money to this coworker and asked if she demanded that money from me. I said that she agreed to cover if I got her a ride home. He got pissed since he knew she didn’t want to swap shifts and only take mine. Coworker is here today, I thanked her for the coverage, and she mentioned that the SM wanted her to possibly do the swap anyways since I may be “under hours.”
Is any of this like…. Normal? Or should I go to HR for all of this?
Why am I coming in every morning to bread trays randomly hidden on top of a regular pallet? Meanwhile there’s like a tiny stack next to a monstrous stack I can’t even move.
I’ve literally had to downstack or re-stack bread trays just to get them on the floor.
OPEN FOR CRITICISM AND ADVICE! THIS WAS A TEST BATCH!
I really wanted to have some more stud earrings I could wear at work without them getting caught in things, so I decided to make my own!
I used sculpy air-dry clay, cut out some shapes, stuck loose earring parts into them, and let them dry overnight. The earring parts were reinforced with a tiny bit of super glue. After a layer of gesso I cut out parts of washi stickers (the rectangle ones that come in little booklets) and carefully cut slits around the edges to fold over onto the back. I made cardstock backings to hold in any loose folds and to cover up the superglue. Cardstock was stuck down with regular tacky glue.
I then spray-coated everything with an acrylic sealant. The long earring “stems” were cut to size and lightly sanded down for the final touch.
Good things to note:
- The designs worked wonderfully for earrings, despite the fact that each pair came from one original image.
- Although the fold-over look is a flaw on some, it does add to a handmade feel, almost like a scrapbook vibe to it
- The cardstock worked wonderfully for covering up any exposed glue or any edges of stickers that were folding upward
What needs to be worked on:
- A lot of rough edges. Either the folds stuck together to make small points, or the cardstock wasn’t trimmed enough around the edges
- The cardstock in some places are still lifting up, despite the sealant top coat (which should have hardened the paper)
- Some of the cardstock backings became fuzzy or the color tore off during the trim phase
- After cutting to shape, some of the washi stickers didn’t provide enough material to fully fold over the edges, leaving some small areas exposed.
- Earring “stems” are very bendy at their small base. Need to be inserted into the clay better moving forward.
Interested to see how you guys like these. Should I look into resin-coating if I want them to last long-term, or is the spray sealant fine? Do you think there’s a potential market out there for these? I do have necklace pendants in the works in a similar style!
Our SM held a meeting with the morning staff two days ago. He mentioned that curbside is now added to the calculation of an “efficiency score.” Since we have a lot of people who suck at curbside, that score has now tanked. “This means they’re giving us less hours to hand out per day to make us more ‘efficient.’ We literally cannot afford that so we’re gonna be heavily watching everyone’s times.”
Back the fuck up. What do you MEAN everyone’s hours can be reduced because other people can’t keep up?????
That seems inefficient AF. If anything, if your scores don’t meet certain averages, then only your hours should be affected. Why do I have to carry the weight of the team just so I can get my full hours??????
Would I be allowed to wear a certain necklace that has a baphomet symbol on it?
I love wearing jewelry to work and I just obtained this necklace as a gift, and I would like to wear it often (I work 36-40hrs a week).
Would this be protected as a religious piece, or would I be asked to take it off?
Long story short, I’m 26F, and I switched from my old birth control YAZ to now Dolishale in the middle of May to help with intense cramping, bleeding, and possible endometriosis issues.
Ever since late June I’ve been bleeding nonstop, going from spotting to full-on period bleeding. My first period on the new pill was late by a week and it’s just been going nonstop. What’s worse is I have horrific migraines right now, extremely tired, nauseous, and hormone fluctuations that are intense af.
Yes, I’ve talked with my gyno. They’re telling me to give it until the next period before doing any changes.
My poor cooch is tired of wearing pads, and tampons hurt like a bitch to me. I only have two pairs of period undies right now. I still change out my menstrual products regularly, yet it feels like I’m wasting them because sometimes there’s only a few drips versus a full bleed. And they’re starting to itch, too.
What the hell can I do? I hate that I have to free bleed in my undies but it’s the most comfortable thing right now
With the tiniest little glass beads and wire that I can find. Hopefully they stay together!
The black box is for where I store my SD cards and USB adapters in. Hopefully we’ll get some more cartridges in there too!
Looking for ways to decorate the zipper pouch too if anyone has ideas. It just has a little charm keychain for now
Long story short, I got a DSi to relive some nostalgia. I gave away my old ds & dsi years ago thinking I would never play it again….
Thing is, the “208 DS game” cartridge (I’m assuming an R4) is not recognized by the new console. Continuously says there’s nothing in the slot. I’m deeply disappointed.
I ordered a small bundle of DS games for $60 from Ebay just to have something to play, but I wish I had a bit more of a selection to play with without breaking the bank. I miss some of the classic games I had like ScribbleNauts or Legend of Starfy.
Is there any way to:
1- Fix the current cartridge I have?
2- Find a cheap small bundle of games online under $25 that’s some fun platformers or puzzle games?
3- A way to find another R4 cartridge that’ll actually work?
I’m terrible at tech and modding one of these would be a nightmare for me. I’m just kicking myself rn for not saving the huge selection of games I had as a kid
Due to moving an hour away from my hometown, not liking my old hair stylist, money issues, and having a *very* sensitive scalp…. I haven’t had a proper haircut in years.
The last time I did anything, I had my mother cut my hair straight across in the back.
Now my hair is getting very frizzy and down to my waist length. It’s super hard to manage. I put it up in pony tails for work and it gets extremely tangled in a few minutes. It’s even getting too thick/long to put it up in a clip (my hair is way thicker than it appears. We usually have to do two hair dye bottles when coloring)
I also miss having my hair dyed fun colors. In the past I’ve done purple, two different shades of blue, and black (long time ago). When my old hair stylist first colored my hair to do a purple ombre, she bleached my whole head to do the effect. I’m trying hard to avoid that. I want to keep my current hair color (which looks lighter in the photos) and do a bit of something on the ends.
I don’t know whether to go green or blue? And what shades? I miss the dark peacock blue I had years ago, but also want to try something new.
I’m also stuck on which hair style to do. I’m thinking something like a light butterfly cut or maybe just long layers?
So TL;DR: what cut and colored ends should I do?
EDIT: I’m putting this here, I don’t care if *others* take tips. I’m not taking them. I was specifically told not to. There are cameras pointing at curbside and our store is heavily monitored. My job is not worth the $5. Regardless, this post is more about the attitude of people towards me as a retail worker and the level of disrespect I get.
I just need to rant for a second. I just got off my shift and I am so tired of how people genuinely treat me here.
Literally doing a handoff for a customer with Curbside. I see the money in his hand ready to go. Usually I tell people to just leave a good review for me and they accept. This time dude got angry.
“I saw online you accept tips”
“Nope, I was told I cannot.”
Then he drops it on the ground at my feet. So I walked away. Watched him struggle to grab it off the ground.
At the same time I was dealing with a 50 item order with someone who did 1ct banana. But under it said “one bunch.” To avoid issues (because fuck me if I do that handoff) I chatted back “I can do a bunch, you need to tell me how many bananas you want.”
“A bunch. Just a bunch.”
“Again, how many bananas do you want?”
“Idk like 5-6?” (Proceeds to message me multiple times this exact message)
“Sorry, I have to take the item off the order. You will have to add it back on with the exact number you want. The app will not let me move forward otherwise.”
They never added it back on….
I know I shouldn’t message customers but we have so many elderly people on the app that I feel bad if they can’t navigate it. But also how much more clearer do I have to be about instructions????
