New to me - Corn free Popcorn

New to me - Corn free Popcorn

In my love me gluten free box this month was this bag of corn free popcorn. I didn’t know that was a thing! It’s today’s snack and it’s really tasty. I may be new to this idea but I’ve seen a few posts asking for corn-free recipes so thought I’d share this snack.

The back says the ingredients are: non gmo popped sorghum, extra virgin olive oil, Himalayan pink salt, Mediterranean herb blend (rosemary, thyme, oregano, silk chili). All gluten free

Seeking Health products for HIT

I take the Seeking Health DAO. That’s just the one that seems to work for me. I’ve tried others and while SH doesn’t fix it all for me it seems to work best.

Last night I was on their site and saw several other products they have for HIT like Probiota HistaminX, Histamine Nutrients, HistaminX, and Mast Cell Nutrients.

I’m all for anything that can help in this crazy health journey. But I also don’t want to take more than is needed or things that are overlapping and for marketing.

Those that know about these products or take them can you help me understand them and the differences?

This group is a wealth of information and I truly appreciate it. I have tried to understand them on my own. It could be good ol brain fog at this point. Ha!

Visiting Camden area - looking for restaurant recs & tour recs for last week Aug

Will be staying renting a house with hubby and MIL in the Northport and renting a car for 7 days. First time in Maine. W’re in our planning stages and so far from visiting this sub and friends who come to the area every year we think we have a decent areas to visits - Camden, Belfast, Lincolnville, Owls Head, Boothbay, Cushing, Bar Harbor & Acadia (day trip.) I know we’ll have to pick and choose from those.

My question for today is: in those towns what are great local lunch spots, dinner spots we need reservations & we’d like to do some water related tours for wildlife or sunset or to see the coast. For the you tours do we need to book in advance (if so who and where) and if not these can be booked when we arrive?

We’re also trying to avoid the cruise crowds as much as possible. I know a lot to ask. Lol

Thanks for any help.

Looking for 100% GOTS cotton women’s pajamas

I’ve seriously dwindled my stock of pajamas and need to start buying some pieces. I’ve looked at Cottonique, Magic Linen, Parade and Lake. Are these good brands? Are there others I should consider?

I’m nervous paying this much for clothing for the potential of shrinkage, etc. I’m just getting into the full swapping out of natural fibers as things run out so things are still new to me. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Allergic reaction - or flare of one of my many other issues?

For those us with PID and histamine intolerance or MCAS, on infusion day do you take both a daily dose of Allegra or Claritin for the HIT/MCAS and pre-dose with Benadryl before the infusion? My prescriber has me doing 25mg Benadryl before my infusions.

I’m currently not taking Allegra/Claritin because I don’t want to mess with the infusion process. I’ve only done 2. Both times after I’m done my back is very itchy even after 2 doses of Benadryl.

It’s time for a cut - but what kind - to layer or not

Sometime over the past year my fine thin straight hair turned into fine thin wavy/curly hair. Only in the past few months did I learn of this new wavy/curly phenomenon.

Only on top of the fine and thin and new curly situation it’s been a year of coming to terms with hair loss and what to do about that. I’m now using oral minoxidil and Nizoral shampoo.

All of this to give some background - I currently have shoulder length hair in a blunt bob with very few long layers.

Due to the new wavy/curls - best guess is fine, medium porosity, low density, 2B-3A - I’m considering a curly cut which would include layers so the curls could bounce as they need to. I do have 1 salon that’s an expert in curl cuts in my area.

My concern is because of the hair loss and fine hair. Is that a good move? Anyone else with fine, thin curls get a curl cut or do layers?

Starting SCIG this week

My first SCIG infusion is this week. The specialty pharmacy has been very communicative and helpful so far. The in-home nurse called today to go over everything and see if I had any questions.

After the call the only question I have is…what do we together while she’s there with me while I infuse? I think from start to finish it’ll be about 2 hours plus the 30 minutes observation time post infusion.

This will be in the evening. Should we plan to eat dinner? Will I want to eat dinner during my first infusion? I don’t want to be rude. I also will not have energy to talk to a stranger for 2 hours. Especially after she gives me a Tylenol/benadryl combo prior to infusion.

All thoughts are appreciated.

I have very pale skin and it is getting extremely hot where I live. I’m on week 8 of my IPL journey. What are the guidelines of doing a simple self tan? Something like Jergens Glow.

Father’s Day Gift - Looking for my hubby who did great for Mother’s Day

I really want to get my hubby a good Father’s Day gift. He did amazing for Mother’s Day. Problem is he just had a birthday and anniversary so my creativity on gifts is about gone.

I’ve done the high-end leather wallet and belt thing and the personalized framed pictures.

I know there have been a lot of posts for Father’s Day gifts…I’m hoping everyone can hang in there for one more.

Edit- He likes all types of music, he just got into vinyl bc he got a record player system, he likes PlayStation but only certain types of games, cooking is relaxing for him, enjoys history & learning. He works really long hours so not much time for hobbies.

Interested in local HVAC companies to bid to upgrade to dual zone - suggestions

As the title says, I’d like to get a few different quotes to upgrade my current HVAC system to dual zone or at least see if it’s possible.

Has anyone upgraded to dual zone and used a company they like?

I’ve read many of the posts and pretty familiar with the big companies to stay away from. Any suggestions or recommendations for local companies?

I’m relatively new and still learning and dual zone is a new concept anyway. TIA.

IPL Braun Silk Pro - When to slow down on shaving?

I think Im on week 5 or 6 and it’s been going fairly well. I mean I don’t love the process lol but I’m seeing results.

I do underarms, bikini (not full Brazilian, upper and lower legs. I’m a fair person with dark, coarse hair.

All areas are going well. Only area that hasn’t taken as well is the inner bikini area. The closer in the more stubborn the hair seems to be.

Question is: This past week when I went to do my normal routine my legs, underarms and outer bikini area didn’t have any stubble or growth. I’ll be going out of town soon and didn’t want to miss a session so I went ahead and did my routine but ended up with some irritation on my legs.

At what point do we know when to slow down on shaving? And if I skip shaving do I still do the IPL weekly through the 12 weeks to make sure no re-growth?

I hope this makes sense.
