I have like 40 minutes before work. Anyone down to practice top lane 1v1?

Not sure if this is placebo or not.

Ftr, I'm 35 and employed. I'm hovering between Emerald III and Emerald I. In the past I've worked M-F 9-5s, but now I have Thursdays and Fridays off. Sometimes I'll be hungry for LP so I'll queue up early.

It seems like the games are completely insane during these hours. There's a wider spectrum of elo in my games. Sometimes I get diamond players. Sometimes I get plat players.

People also tilt WAY more often than they do after 6pm on worknights. I've had two loss mitigated games in the same session which has never happened to me before. Had two people AFK in the same game.

I've heard this explained by demographic reasons. The people queuing up early in the morning are College students. People queuing up after 6pm tend to be employed adults.

But is this actually a thing? I recognize it could just be placebo. But it sure feels like it. It could also just be the volatility of Emerald Elo.

Climbing during the morning hours feels impossible.

Alright, so I come to you guys, a humble but incredibly salty jungle main.

I main Fiddlesticks and unfortunately he has a lot of problems with tanks with CC. He can bring his own CC but he can't melt their HP bars. So I need someone else to do it. But I always do my part. I buy Liandrys, Bloodletters, antiheal etc. Whatever I'm supposed to.

But it seems like recently I'm into comps with multiple health stackers, and I see my ADC just building regular stuff.

If the enemy team has Sion top, Malphite JG, and Rakan sup... shouldn't the ADC build Bork and Lord Doms and ignore regular routes??

To be fair, I could be COMPLETELY wrong on this. I don't main ADC. I'm just trying to understand the game better. If it's comp diff or if my ADC is making a big mistake.

Ftr I'm Emerald I so the players are decent mechanically at least.

Hey all. I'm a Jungle Fiddlesticks one trick.

Currently Emerald III 99 LP. My goal is to hit Diamond by the end of the year. My win rate in the last few games has been very very good, but as I climb higher I find myself getting my 2nd role more often. I used to queue top 2nd role and I can probably play top to like a low platinum level, but now I'm running into games where if I get queued top I end up inting the game. Fiddle top is good but really weird/hard to play so I want to try learning Fiddle sup.

NOT saying Support is easy or even easier than top but I have some experience playing it with friends in 5 stacks.

I have some basic support knowledge and a lot of skills from jungling are really helpful but I was wondering what advice you'd give to someone who's technically new to support. I know a lot of things but seems like bot lane is very complicated and I want to assume I don't know anything.

Any advice is appreciated.

It's absolutely crazy to me that I've never seen this mentioned in a guide.

So basically if you toggle target champions only, this means that you can only right click on champions. But you can still attack move click minions and towers. This is obviously to avoid broken proximity targeting of just champions, but the upside is that you can CS easily while also looking for trades. Missing CS while looking for trades has been a huge problem for me so this should help improve my laning a lot.

Attempted to quit sugar many times but have not been successful.

Finally developed a simple diet that works for me but now my body is breaking out. It seems pretty similar to "keto rash" when I google it but I'm eating plenty of carbohydrates.

Wondering if many other people have experienced this. Also wondering how long it will take for this to go away?

So I think this is one of the most interesting things to speculate about.

The Dark Continent seems to take a lot of influence from cosmic horror. A lot of the creatures/phenomenon we've learned about have a bit of a Junji Ito flavor. I always think that the Dark Continent is sort of like the surface of Hellstar Remina.

Humanity was forced to bring back specific calamities from the Dark Continent. But the one image we get implies that there's an entire ecosystem and food chain over there. Even people as powerful as Netero can only focus on survival. So it makes me wonder what kind of creatures exist over there.

I have a few headcanons and would love to hear yours.

1. Every single creature has open aura nodes. Nen is not a special technique over on the DC. Every creature lives in a natural state of having open aura nodes.

2. The continents in the middle of lake mobius may have been created as an experiment for weak creatures with weak aura nodes by a higher species on the DC.

3. There are parasites/nen beasts that feed on nen specifically. These could either be microscopic or like some of the smaller nen beasts we've seen on the black whale. They're like mosquitos except they will weaken and eventually kill weaker hunters or hunters who don't know how to counter them.

4. Creatures who have strong natural counters to nen. They are either completely nen resistant or function on a completely different power source.

5. To follow up on above, Nen gets expanded on. There are ways to use Nen that humans either don't know about or aren't able to. These secrets may be part of why Ging and Netero are so powerful.

6. There are ancient, primal humans on the Dark Continent. Enough said. Anyones guest as to how they would be though. Togashi could go in several directions.

7. There are a civilzations of magical beasts similar to Youpi.

8. Chimera Ant Eaters - Chimera ants are implied to be low on the food chain in the DC. It's only natural that there exist Chimera Ant eaters. Very excited to see these someday.

Those are a few of mine. Definitely interested in hearing other theories!

If you could make a checklist of things to learn to hit Master Elo what would they be?

I main JG but for Masters I figure you have to know how all the lanes work so question is open to any role. I'm just trying to make sure I'm actually preparing correctly and not missing huge things.

Some day we will go to the Dark Continent and see them. I have faith. Togashi will deliver.

Hey all. Hardstuck E4 Fiddlesticks one trick.

I had a lot of success pathing bot every game up until Emerald but now we're in a bad meta for ganking bot lane. Lots of mages, weak early game champs, low DPS etc. I want to try to help mid/top in these games.

I have a few questions.

When do you decide to path top instead of bot?

How do you stack dragons if you're pathing top?

Do you have any other advice for pathing top?

I'm at the point where I feel very confident I can carry plat games reliably and I can definitely see a lot of the flaws in Emerald players. But Emerald feels like the place that any specific flaw you have in your gameplay starts to filter you. So even if you're better than everyone in the lobby at most things, you're only as good as your worst quality as a player.

In competitive gaming, there's usually a point where players stop having obvious flaws and it's just that people start doing things better and better.

Where is that point? Around Diamond 2? Or is that Masters/GM level? Obviously better and better players will have a more clear vision on "what a mistake is".

Context:

Hardstuck Emerald IV jungler. I main Fiddlesticks. I think I do a lot of things really well but one of my main strategies that got me this far is

-Path bot every single game

-Stack dragons

This works incredibly well in Plat and below. In Emerald it's becoming incredibly inconsistent. I have a lot of games that I take over, but it pretty much always depends on the bot lane 3v3. If I win the 3v3 early then we win the game easily. If our 3v3 is weaker I int the game.

We're currently in this weird mage bot meta that I hate, and it ends up with a lot of bot lanes that are really weak early and don't have CC, engage, or high DPS.

A higher elo friend recently recommended that I need to path top in these games and play for mid or top.

Obviously SOMETIMES it'll still be better to play for bot, but I want to know if there are some champions you see as "this is my ticket to win this game".

For example, champions like Riven top or Syndra mid are amazing when they're fed and they're on your team, but if I see my top laner is a malphite or Sion I'm not gonna be excited to gank for them. If my mid laner is Aurelion Sol, even if I get him a kill or two early he's going to take some time to stack up and he's probably not going to run away with it.

I guess it's an open ended question if your response is different from what I'm asking.

Who are top/mid laners you always want to play for, especially if your bot doesn't look like a great opportunity?

Is there such a thing? Sometimes I ask in other league discord but it's hit or miss.

Could you give a brief overview of when you press tab and what you do a quick scan for? Trying to leave question as open ended as possible but general stuff I'm looking for.

Currently hardstuck Emerald III/IV jungle.

For fun since everyone is doing it! I mained top lane for a long time before switching to jungle. Top lane is a incredibly sweaty, dangerous place, not for the faint of heart. I couldn't find a champ I liked enough to solo main but I'm still fond of it. I mained Morde, then Renekton, then Gwen. Now I play Fiddlesticks JG. But when I play top I play Fidd, Renekton, or Gwen. It's a super fun lane when you know the matchup and /or aren't getting massively gapped. Plat 3 peak so I'm not amazing but I get the gist of how to do wave control/take over the lane.

I love League demonology so this isn't necessarily a criticism, but does Ashlesh the "Demon of joy" even make sense as a concept?

Demons represent things that haunt people.

Fear, addiction, agony, secrets, nightmares. These are things that plague peoples thoughts.

Joy is inherently a fleeting feeling with no real downsides.

There are negative variations of happiness but these are usually described as mania or limerence. A lot of these start to fall more into the category of love etc.

Maybe it's me who's missing something, but what does Ashlesh actually represent? Is he actually evil? Does he torment people? Or does he just feed off positive emotions which technically makes him a demon?
