Maintenance documentation protects both owners and tenants

Every repair request should create a simple record: When it was reported, photographs of the issue, who was assigned, when the vendor arrived, what was repaired and the final cost.

This is not unnecessary administration. It helps identifying recurring problems, supports securit-deposit decisions, prevents duplicate work and shows whether vendors are actually completing jobs.

Even smaller Utha operators such as Property Management emphasize coordinated maintenance and inspection because verbal updates become unreliable once several properties are involved

Are grace & stella fully cruelty-free?

I love their patches and really don't want to have to let them go, they're the only ones that don't cause a reaction on my under eyes. I think I've got this right, I always check but I'm never quite sure I'm doing it throughly enough. Is there a more bulletproof way to verify whether a brand is actually cruelty free?

Would love help checking this one or just learning how to check properly for the future

What is the biggest thing you look for in restaurant HR software?

Hey restauranteurs,

I'm trying to find HR software that actually fits a restaurant and could use some recommendations.

The reason I ask is because I don't think most of the normal HR tools really fit a restaurant. Feels like they assume doubles, earning different roles and spilitting tips at the end of the night. From my pov, the first thing worth having is payroll that sorts tips and different pay rates on its own, since that's the part that eats my whole weekend otherwise. From there it helps to have scheduling that lets people swap shifts from their phone and points me toward staffing up for the busy times instead of guessing.

And because restaurants are always hiring. onboarding that keeps new hire paperwork in one place saves me a lot of digging around later

On top of that I would some compliance alerts that flag missed breaks overtime before they turn into a real problem. And then basic reporting to tie it all together so I can actually see what I'm spending on labour against my sales, that's a lot to want from one tool though. Has anyone found something that actually fits these requirements?

Buying a rug when you have a cat feels like setting money on fire. Convince me otherwise

Two cats, one who thinks every textile is a scratching post and one who occasionally misses the box. Every rug recommendation I read is clearly from someone who does not live with cats. What's actually worked and how confident were you before it arrived?

How do I even choose a reverse recruiting agency?

Just started looking into reverse recruiting and I'm kind of lost. There are way more services out there than I expected and every one of them sounds identical on their website. I'm a mid-level software dev and tired of the grind of applying solo. Has anyone actually used one of these agencies and can tell me what actually separates a decent one from a bad one?

Spent 4 months evaluating ATS platforms and picked the wrong one

Just went through the most painful software evaluation of my career. We're a 120 person company with an internal recruiting team (3 people, no agencies). Needed an ATS to replace our dying spreadsheet system. Did everything "right". Read G2 reviews, watched demos, talked to sales reps, ran a trail. Picked the platform with the highest G2 rating in our category. Enterprise grade, beautiful dashboard, impressive feature list. Signed a 12 month contract. 4 months in we realized it was wildly overbuilt for us. Features we'll never use, configuration that required a consultant and support that kept saying "most of our clients at 500+ employees do it this way". We hire 35 to 40 people per year. We don't need a platform designed for staffing agencies doing 500 placements monthly. How do you evaluate recruiting and HR tools when you're mid market and every vendor says they're "perfect for your size"? Is there a reliable resource that segments recommendations by company size and hiring volume instead of just ranking by feature count?

Taking something alongside a course or waiting until it's finished?

Mid-course and the guy side of it is exactly as unpleasant as everyone warns. I've been told both that taking something at the same time is pointless because it gets wiped out and that starting after is too late. Those can't both be right. What did people here actually do and did the timing seem to matter ?

Feeling unwell while travelling Europe

As of now I have been travelling in Europe for many days and everything seemed fine until I fell sick. My first signs of the disease were sore throat and headaches which ultimately caused me to have a fever the following day. Nothing serious just enough to slow down my steps. Now I am resting, drinking lots of fluids and avoiding stress. The issue is that it is hard to know what to do if one finds himself in a foreign country where nothing is know about the healthcare system.

Happy Head dutastride with minoxidil?

I was on Keeps oral finasteride 1mg for almost two years but I stopped seeing results last year. I have only recently switched to happy head supercapaule. If anyone had good results with this combo let me know? I have only either used minoxidil or finasteride at a time so kind of scared about the side effects.

What are good microsoft premier support alternatives for non IT people ?

I got handed vendor management at my company with zero technical background. Microsoft keeps sending renewal notices and I honestly don't fully understand what we are paying for or if we even need this tier. A coworker said there are third party options that cost less forthe same coverage. Is that true? What have you people actually used ?

QR Code Menu ?

Hello good people of reddit, hoping someone can help me out here! I'm trying to help my dad with his restaurant. It's a family-owned pizzeria. We have a good stream of regulars who come in but we are finding it hard to pull in new people. I was thinking modernizing a few things may help. One thing I'd like to do is set up a QR code so people can just scan and pull up the menu on their phone. Was thinking we could stick a few of these menus around town too to help with marketing? Only issue is his website is pretty (very much) outdated at this point and he's not really willing (absolutely refuses) to move off it because it's tied to how he gets online orders.

Do I need to let him know that he needs to kill his darlings a bit here and the whole site needs fixing or is there a way to point the original code somewhere separate (like a standalone menu page) instead of the existing site ?

Who is supposed to be managing this long term, a gynaecologist or an endocrinologist??

Nine years in and I have bounced between two specialties and a general practice, none of whom seem to think they own it. Each one handles their slice and sends me back out. What i want is somebody keeping a single picture over years rather than a series of appointments than do not talk to each other. Has anyone found a setup where one person actually holds the whole thing?

Car camping comfort, is a foam topper worth the space it takes up

I have tried most of the inflatable pads and sleep badly on all of them. The car is big enough to carry something more substantial if it genuinely helps. I would rather bring one good layer than keep buying pads that disappoint. For anyone who packs a real foam topper for a car camping what size and thickness works?

Going aluminium free, what do you honestly give up in exchange?

I understand the argument for moving off aluminium but I have not seen anyone say plainly what you loose and I would rather know before I commit than find out in July. Presumably you sweat the same amount and only the smell is being handled. If that is the trade I can live with it but I want it said out loud. What actually changed for you day to day after switching ?

First bad lipid panel at 44 and i train five days a week, where do you start

I assumed the training volume would stop this happening and it did not. My doctor is not pushing medications yet and gave me three months to change something. I would rather do this properly then throw six supplements at the wall. Anyone who brought a panel back in line in their forties please say what you added and in what order

If you do both cold and red light, which order did you land on ?

I have been plunging about a year and added a red light recently and I keep running into opposite advice about doing them in sequence. Some people say the cold blunts whatever the light is doing and others say it makes no difference whatsoever. Nobody ever offers a reason either way. For those running both, what order settled for you and did you notice anything when you swapped it ?
