It is all about childhood memories. Adults are supposed to forget about it and just carry memories buried in their hearts of Pooh and friends.
KH3 already had Sora have a moment of disconnection with them because he is growing up.
As Sora gets older, 100AW will be left behind and this may happen anytime now. Maybe KH3 was truly a goodbye to Pooh and we didn't realize.
Sora seems a little lost in Quadrantum, which is understandable, but I feel like he don't even know he is a keybalde wielder when he wakes up. I also feel like he don't recognizes Donald and Goofy's projection
In the last trailer, he also seems surprised at Kingdom Key transforming into whatever Coco's keyblade is (Marigold Bolero/Mariachi?). I think this suggests he is learning again that kind of thing.
It is also interesting how we are having for the first time a keychain form change on screen. The musical aura before the scene in the picture seems to be part of this.
Sora's design was revealed over four years ago. We all know how he looks since then. It took till a major Disney promotion and KH come back to mainstream attention for "I made Sora better!" become a meme.
Sure, there are many who are making funny memes about it and they are fine, but "hot" takes about this matter is just...
Korra (a fantastic follow up) was met with massive backlash. People want Aang only.
The Netflix series (which is pretty good!) is seen as an aberration.
The new movie is laughed at. It go leaked. Fans complain Paramount is releasing it as it is. Past that kind of comment, people keep saying it is lukewarm. It has Aang! But meh.
The fighting game that is just releasing, a love letter to the franchise? Trash.
A whole new series that is close to launch with a fantastic premisse? More trash.
It is clear that the fanbase wants infinite content that just milks the first series, keeping the status quo as it was. No matter what happens, it would always be the same gang solving stuff and keeping things peaceful in the end (and they probably would still complain).
This is insufferable. So much good content and a lot of it, yet, it goes by unappreciated.
Old fans will always complain that any new stuff doesn't replicate the childhood feeling they had when watching the original show and keep circling the old tapes and talk about how TLAB was perfect and without any single possible flaw.
But I am glad that the witters are bold and keep moving forward. Korra was absolutely amazing and if SH is as good as that, then I will be so glad to watch it. Too bad it will never match the unrealistic standards of a fanbase that is incapable of loving what they obsess over with.

I am sure most of you know about the trolley problem.
Eraqus was in this situation: it is either Ventus or the worlds.
Note: saving Ventus isn't even assured.
Eraqus already tried to help Ventus. He did it all the time and he only went to extreme measures because EVERYONE (including Aqua) went against his plights. He had a ticking darkness bomb rearing around and the game already showed us that Eraqus is no match for Xehanort. His students were scattered, Xehanort had his sights on Ventus, Terra was letting his darkness take hold on him and Unversed were around.
He explained what was happening to Ventus, he accepted it and Eraqus CLEARLY was in pain in following with that decision. Eraqus isn't bad person, neither is he dumb and he KNOWS who Xehanort is and what he can do.
Terra was very heroic, no doubt about that. However, this led to Terra losing his identity, Aqua being trapped in the dark realm, Ventus not being himself anymore (at least he managed to shatter his own heart, which is... good, I guess, considering the context). Years later, a myriad of worlds are consumed by darkness, the remaining ones are terrorized by creatures of darkness stealing hearts. You know, the literal apocalypse. Good thing that Sora dropped by, tho.
The thing is: Eraqus was in a dilemma. He did what he thought was better at the moment. Dilemmas don't have right answers. That is why they are dilemmas. So saying that Eraqus is this or that is kinda silly, and disregards the thought exercise about being among hard choices.
This is actually a fascinating aspect of BbS and I love how Xehanort played his hands to corner the heroes.
I don't really get Fortnite. Would Sora really just hold a gun like everyone else?
Sure, there is no shortage of characters people love. But Aqua feels like the kind of character that is impossible to dislike.

She has a soothing personality, started as a master, but went through so many trials, it is hard to not root for her.

If not, who would it be?
The gameplay they showed us showcases how every single message has the characters actually saying every line and doing unique head movements.
Considering the avatar function they are adding to the gamechat gimmick, it is not a long reach to conclude that they got some actual person (or persons) to do a "mocap" using said tech to record the data needed for those messages, in a very simple and seamless way.
The gamechat feature probably is a byproduct of said face motion capture technique or vice versa.
This is interesting, because it shows how tech evolved so much to the point of facial captures being able to be read and processed in real rendering time. The cutscenes probably also run based on that.
You see, the events of the original FF 7 already happened. Maybe we're talking about a point in history after the events of Dirge of Cerberus.
Someone, using Shinra tech, created a virutal reality, based on data collected from the Lifestream. This means that the history engraved in the living mind of the planet can be unfold as it was in a virtual landscape.
And the simulation would go welp... if not by a corrupt data: Sephiroth. Since Sephiroth is a stain in the lifestream, it also manifested itself as such in the remake trilogy and, aware of its fate and status, it was able to break free from it (aka: programming) and start to corrupt the simulation at will.
The whispers, of course, are the embodiement of the digital program, trying to ensure things stay on track till the moment Sephiroth's influence derails everything, including corrupting whispers to his side.
Since the simulation is built on real lifestream data, it was also able to simulate its different, alternate worlds as well. Or the different worlds are the result of history branching because of the corrupted data caused by Sephiroth's influence. Something planned by him, so he can mess with how the events were supposed to unfold.
And Chadley? Our little boy here is a self insert. He experiences the simulation unfold and collects the data for the purpose of the creation of it all. Considering his increased participation in part 3 (I am loosely considering the last interviews about him being playable), maybe his purpose changes and he is either going to become the final final boss (yeah) or an ally combating the corruption when it gets out of hand.
Part 3 can simply finish the story of VII, fulfilling the purpose of a remake and all of this "digital nonsense" can happen after, with said corrutpion threatening the erasure of all. An epilogue, if you will.
What does this mean? The trilogy would be a true stealth sequel. The retelling tries to be accurate, but we get some extra twists in the end. What happens after all this can be used as a way to help to heal the planet OR, depending if the one behind it is evil, be a reason for the real world party to face in a new game in the compilation.
Or maybe they can simply use this whole stuff as an excuse to bring >!Jesse, Zack and Aerith and everyone else back!< and make that perfect golden ending happen, somehow.
What is the basis of my theory?
Aside the voices from inside my head, basically basing myself on the concepts of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and the fact that Chadley exists and that SE clearly wants him to be there. You know, irrefutable stuff.
Amie was an outstanding feature and it is impressive to see how it was implemented in the first 3D title.
It contained data for every single Pokémon to date and allowed players to pet their pokémon, feed them, play minigames and more.
What is impressive is how every single Pokémon had animations for eating, being happy, getting angry and so on. All Pokémon also had mapped areas to show how much they like being petted there or otherwise (and some pokémon having areas that would hurt the trainer if they insist in petting there).
As if that wasn't enough, we had GREAT little details, like Honedge getting pleased if you pet their cloth strap (they steal life force of those who touch it), but as it gets closer to you, it, it won't let you touch that anymore (as in, not letting their trainer get hurt). That really helps to consolidate lore and practice together. And then, there are some Pokémon that you can high five.
It is insane to think that, out of the blue, XY made such a large roster available AND included Amie on top of that. There are so many unique animations there, and it fleshes out the idea of playing with your Pokémon so well, no other game managed to replicate it.
SM added bath items, and stayed largely the same, but it wasn't as good, for some reason. Camping was very underwhelming and Picnics are... there.
Since it has been more than a decade since Amie, I think it was a nice moment to look back and appreciate it.
