I know this might be a bit of a long shot but are there any writers here looking to make a career out of writing? Would love to connect with some link minded people.

So basically looking for other Indian authors abroad. I’m 32F and at East Coast timezone (UTC-4).

I’ve been on bookstagram a few months and I think my algorithm still can’t figure out what to show me. lol

I read (and write) psychological suspense/thriller with a mystery thread. My second genre is contemporary romance. I occasionally read fantasy and do experiment with other genres just to get out of my comfort zone.

So, I need accounts to key my algorithm know what I want. I’ve been boarded with romantasy, fantasy and dark romance accounts and I am looking for other kinds of bookstagrams.

Not sure if we can change existing lists. I think yes.

However, I wish authors still get the positive notification like "Your book <book name> was added to a reading list." That's it. That's all we need.

I’m trying to get the home page to show something I like Instagram of all the ceo millionaire crap that tries to show r@pe as the most amazing thing to happen to anyone.🤢

Problem is I find these red flags after I started reading some times. I remove it from continue reading but similar books turn up in recommendations anyway.

I wish there was a ‘Not interested’ button… or is there?

I see that there's a 'From the Publisher' where some books have art including tropes to make it easier for readers to see what to expect. Is this available for authors who self publish?

So I’m on the ONC2026 Long list. So the book added to the reading list of the official profile.

I am looking for promotional advice to leverage this factor.

I read a post a while back where a writer made it into Wattpad originals for a year but they didn’t do any additional marketing and so they lost the status and got no new readers. I want to learn from that anecdote and try to use this tag to bolster my book and other future books in general.

Any thoughts or advice? TIA

I got the 3 months subscritption for free. So I just want to know which 3 books I should rent since audible has gotten greedy enough to never really give us anything for real.

I generally read mystery/thrillers, psychological thrillers, contemporary romance, fantasy. Any recs on what I can rent for a month?

The Rewards chapter says that Long lost books will get the sticker but how do I actually get it? There aren’t DMs anymore. So what’s the process?

Especially with credits. How do you decide what the spend the credits on?

At the beginning of the book some authors list out all the character details like a biodata and the story itself feels a little bland because we know everything about the character already.

I like moodboards. Just not the biodata. I would rather learn about the character slowly from the story. That even gives potential for suspense which makes me read the next chapter.

I’ve tried skipping the bio data charters but then I’m lost in the chapters because the author expects us to have read the boring character checklist. When I say boring I want to make it chores that it’s my opinion. I prefer some suspense and slow reveal of character even if it’s tiny details.

Anyone else feels this way?

Previously it I try to remix a video there was an option to open on Edits. Now the option is nowhere to be found.

Any ideas how to transfer remixes to Edits?

I’m travelling in like a day and saw posts about not being able to read/listen while flying.

Anyone knows any workaround to this error? I have an iPad and iPhone and hoping to read on the iPad and listen on the iPhone. What should I prepare so I don’t lose access?

Also, whole travelling in other countries can I still access the books or should I have downloaded it all before I leave?

TIA
