What the heck is this white...stuff?

This is my fiddle. Other than a close call with a vacuum cleaner a while back, it's been pretty good. Today I noticed this white substance when I rotated it. Any ideas? Thanks

Update as per the recommendation in here, and what I had on hand, I took a few q-tips and 70% isopropyl alcohol and wiped all the white I could find. Ill do it again soon, as I see necessary. BUT, i dont think it was pests (could still be wrong, it seemed like dust. See pic in comments)

This selfish ass

Food basics on fairview. Came back to my car to find this white van parked like this. I'd have to turn my body sideways and swing legs in and backwards to get in, or climb in the passenger side. The driver did show up a min after I took the pic. I said he needs to learn how to park, his response was "I park like this so I can get in and out of my vehicle". I asked him "what about everybody else"?..

He responded with "you parked like this too". Just dumbfounded. Fuck people like this. Park away from others if this is your level of entitlement, not between other vehicles that know how to park so they can still get in and out and not block others.

Charged for unused shipping label. Getting the run around from ebay agents.

I sold an item on May 19th, to a buyer in the US. I purchased an ebay shipping label, which came to $17.58 cad. Avout 10 min after, I thought, "what the hell, let's see if I can find a cheaper shipping option". Found I could ship through Canada post, to the US for $15 and change. Initially charged the seller $20 cad, so I refunded them the difference, used the canada post label, and sent the item on its way. It was delivered May 28th.

I tried to cancel the ebay label multiple times from my dashboard and kept getting "This shipping label does not need to be voided because we'll charge you only once the shipping label has been used".

Ebay charged my account $17.58 on June 16th.

Since then I have made several calls to ebay asking how/when I will get my money back for a label that was not used. At this point I know I'm getting the run around as I've been told by different agents different stories. One agent said that i would get a credit to my account within 72 hours (that would have been July 8th). Last Tuesday and agent had me on hold for several minutes before coming back and saying he had spoken to USPS, they had canceled the label and I would get my money back.

What the heck is gping on at ebay, and how do I get my money back for a label I did not use?

Found a baby Squirrel at the base of my tree. What should I do?

Found this little soul. Google says I should bring it in soon as its 7:21pm local time. Beyond that, I'm lost. I cant find a local wildlife rehab place near me. I understand I should place it in a box and keep it warm over night, but how? Get up hourly and place/replace a warm water bottle in the box with it? I,get up at 3am for work. How long can a baby squirrel go without food? Any help is welcomed. Thank you

Installing 3" pipe collar over boot. Help

First timer here. I'm just replacing the rubber collar that fits around the pipe. It sits on top of the boot. I'm getting mixed messages with google, but my understanding is that I can simply slide the new collar down over the existing collar. Do I need to apply a bead of sealant around the opening (between the pipe and collar)?.

This is all I have on hand right meow, and we will be getting (maybe) some rain overnight.

Give me your advice. Thank you.

*** UPDATE*** I did it. I spread the sealant around the existing collar and around the pipe. Filled in the splits and cracks reeeal nice. Then I spread some on the underside of the new collar and slid it down into place. Pushed down all around and then put another bead on top of the collar, around the pipe. I'll add a couple of pictures in the comments. Forgot to document some steps, so it's only the finished results. Thanks for all the advice.

Also, back in the day, why the hell did we always use paint thinner to clean our hands and not coconut oil. 🤯

Paid for a set of coins. Shipped late. Only one in box.

This is follow up/update to my original post from 5 days ago.

Original

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ebay/s/dEWEWjCgzy

So the seller did admit they made a mistake. I first brought the issue to their attention on the 15th. They responded later that day at 330pm saying "Hi I'm so sorry and don't know how I made that mistake I will find that gold coin ASAP and let you know".

The morning of the 17th I still hadn't heard anything. To avoid dragging this on I started the return. I notified them and they responded several hours later with

"I'm really sorry about all that",

"I do have two sets of those coins and the other one has the gold one in the bag with it.When I got the sold notification I just saw the picture first and forgot that the gold one was written in that description. I have a lot of items have been on here for a while and forgot. I will let u know when I get home and find the set if u want to reorder and still want the items".

I responded, said no, i wasn't going to reorder and get hit with another $50 duty/taxes/handling fee, and asked if they would be open to a partial refund. Seller said they would be happy do that.

11:08 the morning of the 18th they asked if I was ok with a $50usd refund. I responded within the hour and asked if they can do $65. No response from seller for the next 26 hours.

Morning of the 19th, I returned the item to the DHL that ebay told me to, 90 min round trip.

Seller responded at 2:03pm, agreeing to the refund!

I told them it was already in possession of DHL and ebay would handle the return and refund from there.

Sellers final response,

"Ok I feel really bad for all the inconvenience I put you through.....I know it won't help but I've been dealing with a family issue so I have not been able to handle any thing alesle well right now....as you can see by my ratings this is my first time messing up with an order....once again sincerest apologies for all the inconvenience".

Maybe they do have a family thing, maybe they don't. I've dealt with bad sellers before (facebook mostly) who blame their mistakes/actions on family/outside issues when it wouldn't normally factor in. At this point it's a lame excuse to me.

What's pissed me off is I'm out money on this purchase, and the 90 min drive to make this return. Is this it? I just eat this loss, while the seller, who made the mistake, is made whole? What responsibility does ebay play in all this?

*MUTE AUDIO, TURN VOLUME UP SLOWLY* what is causing this audio issue?

****MUTE VOLUME AND TURN UP SLOWLY***

Apologies for the volume. I recorded this earlier when my kids weren't home. Now they're sleeping and I'm not going to try and record this again.

What am I dealing with here. It can't be a blown speaker because the volume knob has never passed halfway (that I can remember). The speakers are klipsch R-41M. They are running to a marantz 2275 (yes, a bit overkill. Will be upgrading next year...maybe). I've had the reciever for a little over a year. Could the problem be with the reciever? Is it a channel issue?

Or did I somewhere along the line actually push the limit of the speakers?

Any idea what's causing this audio distortion?

Thanks

Paid for a set of coins. Shipped late. Only one in the box.

As the title says, I bought two coins (a set) May 15th from the US (I'm in Canada). Seller stated two days handling time. They didn't ship until May 30th.

The set arrived today. Paid just under $50 cad for duty/taxes/handling fee. Opened the box to find only one coin.

I messaged the seller and they apologized, said they don't know how they made that mistake and they will find it ASAP and let me know.

I've never had an issue like this before. I want to be fair as mistakes do happen. However, this set was around $200.00 with the duty charges on top of it. How does a seller miss an important detail like this? My real question though is how long should I wait for them to find the other coin. When should I file an INAD?

Where can I find Black sesame seed ice cream.

Found this in Oakville, but I'm going to be honest, I'm not prepared to make an hour+ round trip for it everytime. Does anybody know if any grocery store in Burlington stocks black sesame ice cream (bonus points if you know where I can get Matcha green tea ice cream too).

Thanks

Buying from Canada. Seller only ships to US. Only accepts PayPal.

I'm trying to buy something from the US. The seller doesn't ship to Canada and ONLY accepts PayPal.

"Make sure your Ship To address is on file with PayPal otherwise your order could be sent to the wrong address since most sellers will only ship to addresses on file at PayPal."

The above is splashed across the website page when I go to check out.

Now, I do have a freight forward address in NY. I just need to figure out how to pay the seller. I can't add the freight forward address on my PayPal account as it has no other option otther than Canada in the address section. My credit card tied to my paypal account has my residential address tied to it.

Is there any work around with this, or am I SOL?
