Hot Take: Griddlehark is masc for masc. "[discussion]"

Masc women don't have to be muscle mommies (despite what Gideon may tell you).

Harrow gives perfect soft gremlin masc energy: she's more comfortable in practical clothing, she prefers her hair short (even buzz cut), she would prefer to sleep on a mattress on the floor than have a bed full of pillows, the bitch can't cook and you can't convince me she wouldn't top out of spite, despite desiring to be a total pillow princess.

And most damning (especially for dear griddle) Harrow prefers femmes.(its a stereotype, but one that often rings true).

Fight me, I'm not wrong.

Edit: The soup is canonically salty and mid. Harrow's cooking skills come from Ianthe only half understanding how to make it.

Ravens and Wolves are Symbiotic IRL, 60's Wednesday was Obsessed with Werewolves, 90's Fester Married a Pastel Loving Killer Blonde, The Addams Family was made as a Counter Culture to the Normal Nuclear Family, but" Wenclair makes no sense!"

The body of evidence is staggering.

Alright I've Played around 10 Hours and Here's my First Thoughts.

And yes I know it's only very early access so I know more and more will be added as time goes on. Take all this with a grain of salt.

I'm not gonna talk about Build Mode since what can be said other than: Yes all of it is yes.

Live Mode is where I find the lack, I'm a big fan of VERY messy sims gameplay, total drama.

Fighting, cheating, lying, stealing, the kids skipping school, the works. And current build is too wholesome for me (It was an absolute struggle to make an enemy).

I have such high hopes for what's to come and I hope the devs let me roleplay the absolute worst kind of people.

Dating Profiles and AI Glazers (and this isn't even about editing photos.)

After a few uncomfy discussions with dates, I decided to add "if you support generative AI, we don't match" to all my dating bios.

Here's the funny thing, the first thing I always got is: "all my photos are real! no AI lol!"

Then when I would clarify I meant ALL generative AI, it would get weird. Big defenders of ChatGPT and AI "art". People who actively deny the water cost and the violation of copyright and privacy.

Honestly its so exhausting.

Real Talk: What is the Mac Hate?

Sure, they aren't my bestie or the love of my life in the game, but damn.

They're so inoffensive and middle of the road I can't tell if the hate is a meme or not.

What is a Completely Innocent and Common Tag you Genuinely Dislike?

Mine: "Attempt at Humor"

Its giving a lack of confidence in your ability to write something funny.

And trust me I suuuper get the feeling, but honestly even if you're worried what you wrote might not be as funny as you would've liked, 99.99% of the time if you weren't funny no one is gonna say anything even with the tag, and if you were funny people are more likely to comment on it without the tag.

[poem] Bob Flanagan "Why"

I only recently watched the documentary "Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist"

Its about a preformist artist from the 90's who suffered from cystic fibrosis. Its about a man who fought his sickness with "sick" (BDSM). Turning pain into pleasure wherever he could. Its weird and compelling and you see him nail an actual nail through his penis.

I cried at the end during this poem which caps off the film, since Bob himself demanded the documentary only ended when he finally died.. The full doc is on YouTube and I deeply reccomend.

Not only have I seen an uptick in placeholders, fic searches/requests,, but I even saw a post like this. Trying to rally a fandom around a point they were trying to make.

A reddit post.

On A03.

Heinous behavior if you ask me.

Not people who dislike or don't read horror (its genuinely not for everyone). Just the folks who say stuff like: "Oh no! Words! I'm so scared!" kiddingly.

People who can't find something disturbing or scary because its just words feel so disingenuous to me. Honestly the most harrowing part of any EH book I read is if I find a character that I can empathize or sympathize with and seeing what they go through.

The crux is I can understand not wanting to engage in extreme situations but acting like they shouldn't affect someone is wrong.
