Didnt Realize How BAD It Was

I try to keep up to date on D2 news listening for any signs of something I want to actually hear from Bungie and one of the folks who gives it a 'fair shake' talks about getting back into it recently to see how the game's doing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKetdBgd13A

I watched this man try to get into a building for like 10-20 seconds while the game just pushed him back cause of SERVER ISSUES on a game that has under 6000 players at its PEAK. I know bungie has a history of having server issues, but how the hell are they gonna have them on a game thats THIS SMALL in comparison to D2?! That should be like the one redeeming feature for this dumpster fire, that it runs smoothly. WTF even is this crap.

Azula Hates Sharing

You may not be able to notice, but Azula is furious that I have let out the other lizard today onto her sacred desk spot. She stands there, glaring at the sins I have committed unto her. At least Jade's enjoying it.

Dream Guardian Hypothesis

I've been playing BG3 since the Alpha, so a while and I love doing runs. I don't know if it was mentioned by anyone else but as we all are aware, our dream guardian cannot be Dragonborn and I had a theory about that, essentially scripture at this point in my head canon. The dream guardian refuses to take on the form of a Dragonborn because of what happened to Ansur. I don't know how vague I SHOULD be in case some one stumbles into this and ignores the tags, I do NOT want to be some one who ruins that for a new player, but for me it clicks perfectly that the Dream Guardian feels grief for what happened to Ansur and refuses to take on a form similar to them as a form of respect towards them, perhaps.

Azula of the Hole

My lizards have boxes specifically for keeping dirt moist and deep so they can dig way down for enrichment. Naturally these are called the Diggy Box. Azula has been hanging out in hers the past few days, I like to visit her in her vacation home.

Azula Makes the Rules

Rule 1. Pets are not permitted until she is full. Give bug, then she will consider pets, but she makes not promises.

Friend Spotted in Alabama

I won't pretend to know what species it is for sure, but I assumed theyre a fence lizard. They were zooming across large bolders being used for parking, it was a lizards wonderland.

Azula, the Silly Lady

So we got a twofer today for Azula. When i have my lizards free roam my office I make sure to have plenty of ramps and such so they can get on and off my desk. Azula decided this morning that if she walked into the carrier, I will simply lift her up to her basking spot.

Then I had to go out to drop something off at a post office and I get a confused message from a friend. It was a string of random letters sent on a messaging app. Azula had found her way to my keyboard and sent him 2 messages. I was also confused by it until I realized I left it open.

Azula: ggggggggggggggwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Friend: What?

Azula:00000000000000000

So i guess I should have a talk with Azula about the dangers of talking to internet strangers.

Feed the Beast

Azula has a very healthy food response, but that is a common trait for Jeweled Lacerta. She has an even more excited disposition for bugs covered in calcium powder.

TIL You Can Get Zevlor to Fight in Melee

I've been doing alot of 'solo honor mode' attempts on BG3 and today I used Enhanced Leap and Feather Fall to get up to the horn at the Grove Fight to keep everyone alive, mostly cause I'm just trying to do something a little bit different. Zevlor happened to be in range of my feather fall and my dude decided that was his cue to hop down and start smiting goblins. I also checked, and if their is Web anywhere within jumping distance of him, he will use it to hop down to start his goblin slaughter. I love this nonsense.

My Dark Urge in the background is named Mr Grinch for this run... cause any time I name him anything serious, he dies in the weirdest ways.

Flowers For Lizards

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning jade's tank deeply and getting rid of the fake plants inside to try and help reduce the amount of parasites in their environment after having them treated recently. I went ahead and got new fake plants for the tanks and Azula noticed the flowers I got for her tank when I clean it later this week, once I get enough dirt to replace her current substrate. She really seems to like them.

Saying Goodbye to Onyx

On the 3rd of June, I had to make the difficult choice to say goodbye to one of my best friends. I am devastated by the choice I had to make and hope that my tragedy can help others avoid the mistakes that led to this for me.

Onyx was almost 4 years old this month. His birthday was on the 26th.

I want to stress to all pet owners the importance of regularly having your babies tested for parasites, as reptiles apparently live with them their entire lives, and it's our job as their caretakers to make sure they never become unmanageable. Despite finishing his treatment, the damage done to Onyx was already done, and he started his decline after being hurt from a fall while climbing down from a basking spot he favored.

These last few months, I babied him and gave him everything and anything he wanted. I hope the fact that he was loved so much was felt and known by him.

I've had him his entire life and was with him when he passed. I know he was loved on this sub, which is one of the reasons I didn't want to upset people by sharing that he was struggling. I'm sorry for those this affects, even if it's only a fraction of what I feel.

I've already started working on a memorial for him when he finally gets to come back home, though I'm not sure if I'll share it when that happens. I chose to have him cremated since I don't have a place to lay him to rest.

I was told by my vet, the breeder I got him from, and various others who've heard what happened that I did "all I could" and "better than what most people even try to do." But honestly, when you lose someone important to you like this, that doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that he's gone, and my choices led to that.

I'm not sure how many people feel this kind of attachment to a pet, but I'm sure some of you out there know what I mean when I say this is the kind of loss that never leaves. I feel like I failed him, and I look at Jade and Azula and find myself questioning whether I should even be allowed to have them after this.

Rest in Peace, Onyx—my friend, my Black Bean, my son. I wish I could have done better, and I hope you were not in pain.

I'll never forget you.

(Edits: I had to go back through this and fix some typos, I apologize as my brain was/is absolutely fried over dealing with this)

Jade Burrito

Jade enjoys spending his morning on my desk wrapped up in his blanket and using my wallet as a pillow. Gonna be honest, he looks pretty content.
