Siegebreaker behemoth done!
This guy was a blast to work on. All the little eyes were so much fun to paint!

I love how this guy came out! Nurgle rotswords make amazing base models for plate armour; plus it’s the first time sculpting hooves doesn’t look horrible on my models. I’m getting better at turning human legs into digitigrade. Special shoutout to my friend who donated an Escher chem thrower backpack to the cause; really ties the model to necromunda!
Got this from a spires bulk buy, guy said it had to do with the original launch of the game but didn’t elaborate much after that? Looks to be alternative shields and heads for forced grown drones. I’d love to use them for kitbashes, but I want to make sure I’m not committing sacrilege by using them first. Thanks!
This guy was a blast to paint! I love how the eyeballs turned out. I have 4 more abominations to make so I’m wondering if I should keep doing eyeballs or do something uniquely grotesque for each one.
Recently inherited some conquest stuff from a buddy, and now I realize that I now have 5 pheromancers. I plan to turn one into an avataral projection, but I’d like to see how others are customizing the kit so I don’t have to paint the same sculpt and pose 4 times. Any shared concepts and ideas are welcome too! I need all I can get lol.
I’ve been using this, but from trying to find more online it appears to be discontinued (assuming it has plastic microbeads or something). Since I can’t get more, I’d like some recommendations for alternatives if anyone has any. Thanks.
I’m making an army of undead plant Templars called the grove wardens, and in my canon they don’t really have scouts and neophytes, rather a band of feudal-ish religious fanatics who follow them into battle. The models chosen will dictate the direction I go for the lore of my neophyte wing. The models are ordered as follows:
1: ASOIAF Lannister red cloaks: I love the design of these guys, with their two handed swords and their generic knight look. I’d probably take a lot of inspiration from Elden ring and knights of leyndell when I paint these guys and make them look like a band of noble knights seeking glory fighting beside space marines, undead or otherwise.
2: ASOIAF Baratheon rose knights: same idea as the red cloaks, but with a little more of a nod to the plant aesthetic I have with the rest of the army. Only thing I don’t like that much compared to the redcloaks is the sword and shield instead of the long sword but it isn’t a dealbreaker. Just means I can replace their swords with chainswords.
3: Axia’s blinded guardian sisters: these lean more on the fanatic side, but the models look great. I’ve been playing around with the idea that the grove wardens have an order of battle sisters that watch over them in battle, so this could make a fun addition. Plus the style of these models fit right into what I want out of a plant worshipping fanatic.
4: fummelfinger’s lunatrix women at arms: a more knightly looking sister of battle that could fit in with my marines a bit better in style. Plus their armour is more sci fi so I can better justify their scout statblock, but I’ve never been one to worry too much about that.
Overall I love all these models, but I need to narrow it to only one or two so I’m not just making a hodge podge of different units off the bat. I’d love some input on what models you’d think would fit best for my army. Thanks!
This guy is going into a painting competition, so any C&C is appreciated. Just learned that a sternguard sergeant can’t take a combi weapon with a power sword which is a bit of a bummer, but I’ve never been one to care for WYSIWYG when the model looks cool.
Only thing I need to practice now is painting stained glass for the shin armour and the coffin plate
The first two pictures are my sternguard while the last two are my current scheme for my Templars, idk if I should change anything (maybe paint the robes white?) but I’d like some input
Love using little knights and pilgrims in place of my neophytes.
Wanted nice fluffy rules for my BT in my next home game. So I’d like peoples opinions on what community rules are best to fit them. Thanks
Making a ballustus dread for my BT and going all out with adding gothic and cathedral decor so it looks like a walking church. Pauldrons look a bit plain right now so I want to add gargoyles to them, any good files you guys could recommend?
Trying to get better at my photography; I think this white backdrop is the issue I’m still having. I’ll try to get a black one and hope that works.
Just got my full hellbrick worth of sword brethren done. But I’m not all that satisfied with their capes being just red. I need ideas for patterns and details to put on their capes if you all wouldn’t mind helping me. Any ideas, pictures and inspiration would be appreciated!
Devs and dice makes some really nice templates for mordheim buildings, if my test games go good, I’ll make a whole board of these things!
