I saw there were photogrammetry spaces in the user created spaces, would like to see that done with some larger real life theaters, or even some regular theaters to get that real life effect

Half life 2 has the VR mod that you get directly on Steam, I’ve never played a mod VR game before but I’m guessing the mod on Steam is more stream lined and you don’t have to move files around and such

So why are the bioshock vr mod or portal 2 vr not on Steam for example but the half life 2 one is?

With steam no longer making physical card can you still get steam digital card with trades?

My steam os computer is showing the ps5 console on my network but my controller is only letting me select options at the top of the screen it won’t move down to register for me to select it

I’ve been using 5g wifi for the last 2 months

I turn machine on today and suddenly it can’t connect to 5g anymore, nothing was changed, I can connect to 2g though

A little after 2 hrs

Edit: he also said he may not be able to talk about it much longer, I take that as he may get it next week

Would be a huge convenience if you have the headset on and are playing any type of game vr or flat or even doing work in desktop

This could be annoying if your having to change base settings everytime you switch between stand alone and wireless which I’m planning to do often

If I have super sampling set to 130% and frame rate set to 120 fps on wireless pc for example I don’t want those settings to carry over to stand alone and vice versa

Have tried multiple things like shortening the recording time, starting the recording manually and just leaving it on to always recording

I only get 2 results

A recording that’s like 10 frames per second
Or just a black screen where I only hear sound

About a week ago I posted about resident evil 9 crashing everytime I put my self built machine in sleep mode

Well since then I’ve tried more games

No rest for the wicked
007 first light
Returnal
Hogwarts

All of these games crash everytime in sleep mode

Only 2 games have worked correctly with sleep mode and those are

Nine sols
Silksong

Idk if I’ve done something wrong or if valve just has some bugs they have to fix in steam os for self built machines, because on steam deck no games I played ever crashed in sleep mode

These are the 2 ways I’ve tried VRR:

1: Frame rate limit enabled with 116 fps cap
Don’t Allow screen tearing
VRR enabled

This looks smooth to me don’t see any skipping or tearing

2: frame rate limit is disabled, no cap
Allow screen tearing
VRR enabled

This 2nd option looks just as smooth don’t see any skipping or tearing, but this should have less input lag than option 1 since frame rate limit is disabled and tearing is allowed right?

Like could I turn off my computer, put in a new cpu and new ram and just turn it back on? Or would I have to reinstall Steam os so it would work with my new parts?

I’m in the middle of something in resident evil 9, I put the system to sleep and come back after 3 hrs, turn on my system and resident evil 9 has closed and I’m back on the steam home menu

Woke the system back up from sleep in the middle of game, pressed the steam button and went to friends list and controller became unresponsive for 20 seconds but the screen wasn’t frozen

Once the controller started working again I went to Home Screen with the game still running and it looked like 15 frames per second, but it’s only like that on the home menu, once back in the game it’s still smooth

Kinda just putting this out there to hope valve notices it or something to fix it

I just realized quest and neither steam frame have VRR screens, so how does that work if your frame rate is jumping around from 80 to 120 fps

Any game I start it does the steam logo, then the screen is black for like 20 seconds, then the game starts, on deck it’s only like that for 5 seconds

Any known easy fix for this?
