I haven't read tons but a fair amount. Here is what I've read:

The Martian: 4/5 Really liked it and the real science aspects. Although nothing much philosophical about it

Red rising trilogy: 3/5. Wasn't big on these. Pacing was way too fast. Barely even sci fi. Not interesting technology and no interesting ideas. Characters weren't great.

Hyperion: 4.5/5 Really enjoyed the style. Prose were great and I loved the mystery. The world buying was really good and the technology was very interesting. Tons of interesting ideas and great characters. Genuinely made me cry which isn't something I can say for any other book.

Fall of Hyperion: 4/5. I enjoyed all of politics and Ai plotlines. Failed to deliver a little bit of the mystery for me and wasn't big on all the keats parts.

Dune: 4/5. Was very good. Really liked all politics but wasn't too much interesting technology. Lots of interesting ideas and characters were fairly good. Wished there was more about the technology

Do androids dream of electronic sheep: 4.5/5 Really liked this. Enjoyed the ideas and the plot was good with very tight pacing. Characters were good and loved the world. Wished it was longer! Enjoyed alot of commentary on religion and status.
