Saw the discount and I’m afraid monitors might be going the way of the RAMs and the whatnots. Do you guys think I should pull the trigger before it gets too expensive again?
I picked this bike up as running but with electrical problems for pretty cheap. The right turn signal never worked it just flashed the “dash” light. The left worked but no dash light. I found a 5-pin relay where it looks like the turn signal and flasher relay and cancelling unit were. I was going to try testing the input but as soon as I grabbed it 3 wires broke off. From my understanding this shouldn’t be replaceable with a standard 5 pin relay should it? I’m not seeing anything that would make sense to have normally open except maybe the white/green wire and even that is a vague maybe. Also, any ideas why nothing will work without this wired in? It’ll crank but won’t fire. I’m going to start checking fuses and such after work but I’m trying to get as much thinking done as possible before I start wrenching
I’ve been goofing around with my diy steam machine and started playing with RAM OC on it because I can. It’s a 12600kf on a b760m ayw and team 2x8 3200 16-19-19-38. SPD info says Hynix according to bios. So far I have it up to 4266cl19-23-23-46, 1T tRRDS 4 tRRDL 6 tFAW 16 tRFC 555 tREFI 27000 at 1.5v. (Currently testing at 1.47v same settings failed vt3 at 6 hours on 1.45v) I know tRAS could be a lot lower and tREFI can probably go higher but then things get weird. From what I’m finding cjr/djr shouldn’t be doing sub 600 tRFC or scaling to 1.5v. Also the only successful 4266 OC I’m finding has a tFAW of 36 but cl18?? I errored out at 13hrs vt3 with cl18. I know the only correct answer is keep testing but I do like to be lazy and try other settings that have worked. Does Hynix have a different IC that’s good to OC I was unaware of? Or does anybody have some good XTU shots I can reference? I’m also curious how well I could do if I stole the bdie out of my kids’ computer but that’s an ethical dilemma for another time.
I did my msf course last weekend. Went in and finished everything for my license on Friday. Yesterday I picked up a little virago 250. Today I went to go practice some tighter turns on a little side road that connects two parking lots. I was keeping it around 15-20 mph. Trying not to go too fast but still need some lean. Well going into a super tight left I heard my peg drag and ran out of skill. Next thing I know the bike and I are about 3 feet apart and horizontal. I got up and dusted myself off. Bike looks pretty good minus some scratches and a broken choke lever. I just had some scuffs on a glove and some abrasion on pants. No holes anywhere. Gear did its job at least. So then I figure I gotta get home and start putting my way back to town a little shaken but ok. About halfway back home I lose power going up a hill. The bike died and smelled like rotten eggs. I pushed it off to the side and pulled the side cover to find the voltage regulator actually popped, like you can see cracks and what looks like some kind of oil leaking out. FML I think I blew up my battery. God knows what else got fried. My knee hurts. And I’m walking to a gas station to get a ride home from my dad. I’m 39 btw. FML
Update: I’m home. The bike is home. Everything is fine but I’m breaking into the rum and calling it quits for today. Thanks for the support most of you. Those of you being dicks can gargle a buffet of ballsacks.
I’m still working on my MSF course to get my endorsement and getting gear so I’m ready to get a bike. I found a used jacket I like that said CE armor on it for a great price and jumped on it. Unfortunately once I got home and took out the removable liner I realized that the actual armor was taken out. It has pockets for shoulders, elbows, and a back protector. I’ve seen a couple sets that are available but the description makes it sound like only the back protector is CE2 rated. I have been looking at the d3o armor but I’m confused what exactly the differences are beyond someone slapping their name on it. Like Icon has 2 different types it seems but they’re both d3o so what’s the difference? Is good armor even sold in sets or do I need to buy each piece? Any help is much appreciated
I was rocking a 13700kf and it decided to give up on life. 100% sure it’s dead as swapping it with my 12600kf has the 13700kf not posting but the 12600kf boots right up in each other’s mobos. After dealing with the janky chipsets on Intel disposable boards I’m ready to swap back to AMD but memory OC is honestly more fun than just about everything else for me because I’m apparently a masochist. I have a decent kit of a-die that was dailying 7400@1.4v on a tomahawk z790 max and I want to really see what I can do with it. I know m-die is better for max clocks but ram prices. So I bought a b850 mpower to see what I can make happen. Now the last piece of the equation is the CPU. I know 9850x3d is the easy option for best gaming performance but is there something that takes the lead in memory OC without being 8600G levels of bad? I know back on AM4 there was some weirdly good 5600xs for ram OC and I’m curious if there’s anything like that in the latest gen.
Edit: I know the sweet spot for AM5 so far is 6000-6400 with max fclock. The board I got supports up to 10200mt/s and is 2 dimm matx for overclocking. I’m looking for big numbers and tight timings suggestions that won’t completely suck for daily use too. I’m also planning on watercooling the whole setup including the RAM so I’m willing to be pushing like 1.6+vdimm

I’m a bronze 3 sojourn main and I know I’m not very good but I’m trying to improve. The main things I’ve been focusing on are Positioning, Economy, and Aim. I had a game today where I had the highest stats in the lobby yet we still lost and it wasn’t even close. I would really appreciate some feedback on if my positioning was a big part of that since that is what I’ve been focusing on fixing the most. I know there were a couple times I overextended and got cut off from my team but for the most part I felt like I was doing a decent job keeping the CRATE mentality. I honestly thought I was improving and got up to 23% progress in bronze 2 on Friday but then I got busted back down to 50%ish bronze 3 again over the weekend and it’s making me feel like I’m not improving at all.
