What flavor of crazy are your parents?
My 98 year old mother was always insane and is only more so with every day that goes by. She is classic NPD/BPD and was screaming at my husband yesterday that if he wears sandals (it was 94+F with high humidity on a Saturday) he will “never be an executive, always a peon” because she was jealous he spoke to another old lady in assisted living.
God help me make it to the finish line sooner rather than later.

Troubleshooting why Harvia Spirit electric heater won’t turn on
Our electrician came to wire the Spirit to the Xenio, announced it was done and left. He was in a hurry to go get his kid after spending three hours on it, second trip here. He assumed it would work once we got the Xenio digital control panel was working, which was challenging.
It’s not.
The power unit clicks loudly, then nothing happens.
Control panel set at 194F, timer is counting down, no heat.
He cannot come back today. He wants us to figure it out before he shows up, since he has no clue why it’s not working. I sent the photo to Harvia.
I literally know zero about electrical work, but I can research.

98 YO NPD/Borderline mom & Mother’s Day
Greetings to all my fellow sufferers, caregivers to the elderly personality disordered parents.
Mother’s Day and her birthday are the two worst days of the year.
I am her 60 year old fucking fool of a daughter who should have walked away 26+ years ago and stupidly thought she couldn’t last **that** long.
Yesterday’s hijinks included insisting on ordering a $34 glass of champagne, immediately declaring “it doesn’t have bubbles” (it did) and then “spilling” the entire glass and demanding to move to another table.
I’m a mother, I hate Mother’s Day and I can’t wait for this to be over. Got my first stent two years ago. The stress is killing me.
Feel free to share your greatest hits.
It was better than 6 years ago when she told my 13 year old son my husband would be dumping me for someone younger when my son graduated from high school (he did not, we are married 26 years which just makes my mother insane with jealousy.)
