Question to anyone supporting Trump/Israel, their attacks, and the blockade: are you willing to move back to Iran right now?

To be clear: I absolutely hate the ayatollahs regime. I despise their incompetence, corruption, and religious lunacy. I just want the regime to end and Iran to be free.

Having said that: Attacks have done nothing but kill Iranians (including many civilians), hurt Iran to defend itself against foreign forces, and destroy what was left of our economy. Worst of all: the attacks have given the regime the perfect excuse to crush any dissent (as if they needed any) claiming Israel/US association.

And the blockade is just the beefed up version of sanctions which have done next to nothing other than hurting the common Iranian. The regime will eventually make some concessions to lift the blockades, and "rooz az no, roozi az no". Or they'll just wait out the Trump admin.

So the question is: how many of you are actually willing to go back and live under ayatollahs regime in a country with %90 inflation rate? How many of you are willing to leave Santa Monica or Westwood or wherever, and fly back to Iran to accelerate this "revolution" or "regime change"? It is not an easy flight, but it is possible.

In Spain, 'gorrillas' are unofficial parking attendants who offer unsolicited help finding spaces in busy areas and expect a tip. Many drivers pay out of fear they'll come back to a scratched car

A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It's where the high ranking officials ride bikes.

Canyon "Support"

I was looking at a few high-end CF eBikes and narrowed it 2 options: one from a startup and one by Canyon at twice the price. I finally decided to go with Canyon just for the piece of mind of reliable customer service.

eBike stopped accepting charge or turning on a couple of months ago, under Canyon "warranty". I went on their website but there was no option to call, only chat or email. Chat option was useless as it connected me to another Canyon customer! So I had to email. It takes a full business day for every email to be answered. First response was just an automated BS answer. Then I was asked to send pictures of the eBike. Then they emailed three options:

  1. Take it to one of their "authorized"service shops (they sent me a list) and they would take care of the rest.
  2. Call Bosch and let them guide you through troubleshooting.
  3. Take it to any shop and ask them to contact Canyon and Bosch...

I called all their "authorized" shops on their list near my place and got laughed out as some of them did not even work on eBikes. I called Bosch (the only time I was able to talk to an actual person) and TBF, he did his best to try to help but could not. I finally took it to my neighborhood shop where it has been sitting for the last month. Apparently Bosch first tried to remotely update the firmware and then decided to replace battery, none which has happened. A few days ago Canyon closed my ticket and asked me for a feedback!

Obviously the defect seems to be electrical (Bosch) but I just want to share my experience and make it clear that spending a couple of thousands extra on a name brand eBike will NOT necessary get you a better customer support. Looking back, I wish I had saved my money and picked the cheaper option.

Is there any way to compel law enforcement to enforce engine/ exhaust sound laws?

Am I the only person getting really tired of these antisocial scumbags revving their modified engines/exhaust at any time of day or night? We have comprehensive laws (WAC-173-62-030) as well as Seattle noise ordinance which I'm pretty sure is even more restrictive for the city of Seattle.

The hell with us trying to get some sleep at 2:00AM on weekday but this sht cannot be good for the wildlife. I live in downtown and anytime one of these dumbfucks with modified exhaust revs their engine, it's followed by waves of seagulls terrified squawks and who knows what other sound of frightened animal.

Which charity organization do you all use to donate to Iranian people? Any opinion on Moms Against Poverty?

I have have been donating to Moms Against Poverty simply because I cannot find any other organization that operates in Iran, and from my limited knowledge I believe they are trustworthy. Any other option anyone know about?

Person protesting LWB Bike Weekend: Bikes Will Not Replace Us

Cool, cool, anti-bike protesters appropriating Nazi slogans.

EDIT: For those unaware, Lake Washington Boulevard (LWB) Bike Weekend is an annual event where LWB is closed to vehicle through traffic so people can ride their bike, walk, or just enjoy this incredibly scenic route without having to worry about cars.

Under the previous mayor, there were only 10 Bike Weekends. Mayor Wilson has expanded this to 15.

Residents and their visitors still have access to their properties along LWB, and access is maintained for all Seattle City Parks parking lots in the area.
