She was returning home and a Russian drone strike killed 19-year-old Victoria Slobodianyk in the Sumy Oblast on August 9th. She was pursuing a teaching education in Hlukhivz. In the same Russian strike: 25-year-old Maksym Sukhopar also perished.

In her free time, she would come home to take the stage, sing, dance, and work with local children.

The stage for Victoria was not just a workplace. She constantly participated in amateur performances, hosted village festivals, sang, danced, recited poetry, and acted in theatrical productions.

Everyone who ever saw Vika on stage noticed her natural talent and sincere dedication to creativity.

But her love for the arts wasn't limited to performances. She would return from the city to her native village to teach children Ukrainian songs, and instill a love for folklore.

She was only nineteen - In just a few weeks, she would have turned twenty.

Her artistic director from the amateur group confesses: after Victoria's death, the stage will never be the same. With her went a part of that creative universe they had built together.
