The Future of Kips Bay Must Include a Movie Theater

I will not approve any prospective rezoning of the Kips Bay AMC 15 site without the inclusion of a cinema.

Kips Bay deserves a say in its future and that future must include a movie theater and grocery store.

Studio 54's Exciting Next Chapter

Studio 54 is a landmark for popular art and culture. It was famous during its years as a nightclub where icons like Liza, Andy, Halston, Cher, and, yes, even Dolly let down their hair.

Since then, Studio 54 has returned to its roots as a legitimate Broadway theater. I’m thrilled to support the storied legacy of Studio 54 by recommending approval of Roundabout Theatre Company’s $105 million ULURP proposal to help ensure its enduring relevance for generations to come.

Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal Releases Interactive Report/Map on Dog Waste: Find Out Where the Most Complaints Are

Today, my office released a first of its kind, interactive report on the state of dog waste in Manhattan.

The findings are troubling. Following this winter's harsh snowstorms, 311 complaints spiked to their highest levels in more than three years.

Keeping our streets clean is a shared responsibility - and it's clear Manhattanites must do more to pickup after their pets.

I’m eager to tackle this problem with DSNY and the City Council, both of which have prioritized the collection of dog waste to keep our streets and sidewalks clean.

130 Affordable Units Coming to the LES!

NEW ULURP RECOMMENDATION: I'm formally recommending approval for 130 affordable housing units in the LES.

This creative project also funds the restoration of St. Augustine's Chapel, and delivers much-needed housing for Lower Manhattan.

Let's get building!
