Border hopping in the e-tron

Bought a used 2022 Premier Plus back in the spring while we wait for our R2. Have been super happy with the vehicle and decided to go on an adventure. Drove from Madison, WI to Toronto, Ontario, to Niagara Falls, Ontario and then on to South Haven, MI before heading back to Madison. What a wonderful car! Averaged around 2.85mi/kW with 100% charge still around 235 miles of range.

Completed the pilgrimage (spoiler/setlist)

Was disappointed that they didn’t play Lakeside Park but I completed my pilgrimage and saw the Neil Peart Pavilion after leaving Niagara today.

Expectations Blown

I had an idea in my head how they would sound. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect what I just experienced at ScotiaBank in Toronto. Tight doesn’t come close to describing what that was. Absolutely incredible.

Get tested!

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed 21 years ago in the usual way. Test for everything else and if they are all negative tell the patient they have fibromyalgia. I have managed my symptoms mostly with diet and exercise with the occasional pain meds when things get out of hand.

For the last six or so months I’ve had some new symptoms. Nothing unusual there…they seem to come and go with no explanation, but this was a bit different and it was getting worse and worse.

Doctor says let’s run a bunch of tests. They pull about a gallon of blood and long story short I come up positive for rheumatoid arthritis.

They tested me 21 years ago but apparently the tests weren’t nearly as sensitive back then.

I have an appointment with rheumatology tomorrow but in the meantime my doc put me on a low dose of prednisone and OMG I haven’t felt this good in I don’t know how long.

So, if you haven’t been tested recently I strongly suggest it. Wish I would have done it sooner.

A little morbid?

Went and visited my mom today and the TT was looking too good to not take a cemetery pic 🪦. I know mom would have approved.

Impressed so far

Picked up a 2022 e-tron premium plus out of California six weeks ago. Had 81k on it but very few issues over that amount of miles so I figured it would hopefully be one of the good ones. We needed an interim EV until our R2 comes and then this will become the ‘second’ car.

After a couple thousand miles and two longer trips I’m pretty impressed. Rides super nice and is really quiet on the hwy. Been averaging around 2.7mi/kw on trips and charges at least twice as fast as the ID4 we just turned back in after the lease ended. 10-90% in about 22 minutes on a Ford 240kw charger!

Got a smoking deal on this car and am super happy so far.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see the writers and producers meeting and addressing so many of the f’d up things in our country at the moment, both medically and socially. Bravo!!

Joined this subreddit just to share how beautiful this salmon turned out tonight on the grill. Tasted even better than it looked.

So, as you can see by the pics I’ve been pretty plateaued for the last six months or more. I’m 58 and suffer from fibromyalgia which means my big joints especially my hips and knees are often painful so legs are the hardest things for me to work hard but I still try.

I have a 178 week streak (never missed a week since I got my Tonal, over 3.5M lbs lifted and just shy of 500 workouts.

According to Tonal I’m ’stronger’ than about 3/4 of the men on the platform but I find that hard to understand. Interested to hear from others who might be somewhat similar to me how they’re doing.

Just picked her up after a winter of getting a bunch of mechanicals taken care of. New accumulator (clutch feels so nice now!), electric rams for the wing, new brakes… it’s like having a new car. Anyone in the Madison area with an exotic or really any car should check out Atlas Autocraft in Verona. Cody and his crew are amazing!
