Had this old boomer trucker hat wearing type stop me for a question. He had written what he was looking for poorly on some scrap paper (joy) I can't figure out what he wants so I use my phone to type in the sku and look up a picture on our website. Now. As I am doing this, typing out numbers as such the following occurs. He starts yapping and takes a step forward closer to me. I keep my eyes on my phone and actively take a step back

He steps closer.

I step back.

He steps closer.

I step back

He steps forward again and at that point I walk away and pretend I'm looking for his shit in the opposite direction.

"Stumped ya did I heh heh"

"I'm just looking for it, dude."

After that he got real pissy with me because I wasn't a woman falling for hia predatory shit I assume. I find what he's looking for. Yells me I'm wrong even though it's the same sku and accurate to the picture I found online. He throws a fit and just says he'll buy online because I can't find what he wants (I did but dumbass thanks swag, panels, and valances he wanted were sold together )

I've been trying to find my circle of girl friends or group or "my people" for almost three years. I only really talk to my boyfriend and any attempts to reach out to talk to people have led me to be sexually exploited or ghosted. I no longer look for friends online because it's all transactional. A lot of people are just looking for void filler and not real friends. I've come to find searching for friends equivalent to finding a romantic partner. Even some friendship apps I've tried work like dating apps and it's just gross and demoralizing. It just sucks the type of women I like aren't interested in being friends with me. Idk. I think I should just settle with being with my boyfriend.

We have to share the public bathroom with the customers and it's really inconvenient because our customers for some reason (in my experience in the women's room) go in there to sit and text and watch Facebook reels. We have customers that also just like to hang out in there. Like why

I'm gonna keep trying until something sticks. Lol. I'm 36, childfree and have a long term boyfriend, I usually hang out with him. We play video games sometimes. I listen to lots of music and like adult animation like American Dad for example.. I desire no children but I do own four cats. I'm not really into movies or tv shows and prefer YouTube creators as opposed to watching television.

(36F) I've been on reddit on a different account so technically I've been using reddit for about three years. I originally signed up over the suggestion of my boyfriend to try and make friends here but so far no such luck. I've gotten ghosted a few times and had men message me under the guise of friendship only to turn the conversations sexual. I just wonder if this endeavor is impossible and I should give up it if people have actually made honest friends here and how lmao.
