Five Astrologers Told My Boyfriend He’ll Die Young, and Now I Can’t Stop Thinking About It
A few years ago, five different astrologers told my boyfriend that he was going to die at a young age. He told me about it, and the problem is that he completely believes them. He genuinely thinks this is something that is going to happen to him.
I’ve always felt like I’m very good at manifesting things, or at least I’ve had experiences that made me believe I’m good at it. Because of that, I’m now terrified that constantly thinking about his death could somehow make it happen.
I don’t want to think about it. I actively try not to. But the thought has become stuck in my head. Over and over, my brain goes, “What if he dies young?” “What if the astrologers were right?” “What if I’m somehow manifesting it by thinking about it?”
It’s gotten to the point where it feels like there are two people trapped in this fear, he believes the prediction, and I’m constantly afraid of the prediction. Neither of us wants it to happen, but we keep giving it so much mental attention.
I know logically that astrologers cannot actually know when someone is going to die, but emotionally I’m really struggling to let go of this. I want my boyfriend to live a very long, healthy life, and I hate that this fear keeps intruding on my thoughts.
How do I get this thought out of my head? Has anyone experienced something similar? And how do you stop giving these kinds of scary thoughts so much power?
I’d really appreciate some perspective or advice because I’m genuinely scared and exhausted from thinking about this.
