Mass Surveillance

@Round Rock Police Dept:

I have a couple of questions after seeing this article:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2026/08/02/how-police-officers-used-vast-network-cameras-spy-their-exes/?pwapi\_token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJyZWFzb24iOiJnaWZ0IiwibmJmIjoxNzg1NjQzMjAwLCJpc3MiOiJzdWJzY3JpcHRpb25zIiwiZXhwIjoxNzg3MDI1NTk5LCJpYXQiOjE3ODU2NDMyMDAsImp0aSI6ImRhNmJkOGNiLTIwYzctNGEzNS04NDYwLTU4ZmYyMjU3ZWIwMCIsInVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3Lndhc2hpbmd0b25wb3N0LmNvbS90ZWNobm9sb2d5LzIwMjYvMDgvMDIvaG93LXBvbGljZS1vZmZpY2Vycy11c2VkLXZhc3QtbmV0d29yay1jYW1lcmFzLXNweS10aGVpci1leGVzLyJ9.n4PHw3uCFqMdEJpJcenDcEHnk0SXcOpDGf1o\_yT9CCA

1A - How are Round Rock PD employees prevented from using the nation wide surveillance system for personal or nefarious purposes?

1B - Who audits the justifications our offices give for searches?

2 - Are other agencies, unaccountable to Round Rock citizens, able to access RRPD's surveillance cameras?

Backhoe Attachment

Good Afternoon,

I am looking at a backhoe attachment for a john deere 5055 D. I just got off the phone with my local JD dealer and they don't have anything that compatible.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Kombi Attachment

I need to cut brush growing too close to a barbed wire fence to reach with the bush hog on the tractor. This would be stuff like green brair, sunflowers, thumb size saplings.

I have the KM 131 power head, HL KM 145° hedge trimmer attachment, and the HT KM shaft extension.

Can I use the hedge trimmer to cut brush near the ground? Or should I be looking at (the FS KM brushcutter with the brush knife) / (the FH KM 145° Scythe) / something else.

Thank you.

War Elephants

Where is the sweet spot between where Elephants are funny and useful?

I almost want to have German war Elephants stationed / capital in Golsar Mines.

Hotel Recommendations

I don't trust online reviews anymore.

My wife and I'll be in town for 3 nights, are there good hotels by the aquarium that include breakfast and aren't super expensive? Or, are there any to avoid?

How to guide , or common newbie mistakes

Can y'all point me to a good guide for building a pond in my back yard?

I am a Civil Engineer who has kept freshwater aquarium fish for many years, living in Texas

I'm basically a structural engineer

I'm building a patio with threaded rod mounts down into the footings for a future pergola. But I decided that the footing concrete might not be deep/strong enough for a roofed pergola so wanted to remove the MOT and add more concrete (no idea why I didn't do this in the first place).
Behold the sins I commited to tie the bricks, the bottom slab, and the new slab all together.

Hearing Protection

Is there a pair of blue tooth enabled head phones / ear muffs that you recommend for chainsawing, tractor driving, & shooting?

I currently have the Stih dynamic BT hearing protection.

My IR is right. Yours must be wrong.

I ain't no surveyor, but isn't the iron rod in the ground righter than your calculated point? Isn't this how you get pin cushion corners?

In Texas if that makes a difference.
