Rowers: have you tried the newer workouts with Josh with lower stroke and higher power intervals? If so, what are your thoughts?

Rowers: have you tried the newer workouts with Josh with lower stroke and higher power intervals? If so, what are your thoughts?

I recently did Josh’s latest 30 minute row and it makes another workout where hard effort can be applied to lower stroke rates (24).

Though I feel there’s more that can be done to update and mixup their approach, I’ll still acknowledge that some changes have been made. Apart from the fact that it better incorporates the dynamics and nuances of rowing, it also adds variety which is always welcome.

Anyone else who’s noticed and also enjoys it? I hope in some way that’s it registers with the people at AF+ and it continues.

TIL Apple Liquid Glass is not available with my Apple TV downstairs (1st Gen 4K)

The Liquid Glass layout was released nearly a year ago. It proved to be a more important update than I anticipated as it allowed me to see much more of the video, especially when only using my phone at the gym.

When I workout at home, it’s usually on my upstairs Apple TV which also has the update. But I got an indoor bike a couple weeks ago and doing the workouts downstairs on my 1st gen Apple TV 4K.

Not the biggest deal in the world, but I noticed the metrics display was not with the Liquid Glass configuration. I had to take Gregg’s participation in the workout on hearsay!

After playing around in settings and then looking it up, it’s just that Liquid Glass is not available for that older model. Now I know.

Ha! Look at the guest trainer in this week’s dance workout.

I’m way overdue to do a dance workout anyway, so this one is perfect to jump back in. Love the playlist too.

I saw a Schwinn IC4 for $250 and couldn’t pass it up, so I’ll be doing more cycling workouts.

I know AF+ approach for cardio is usually going through all the intensity ranges, but some can still have more of a plan to hang out longer in the medium and hard ranges with sustained effort.

If you know of any for the longer classes, please share! Thanks.
