I am from India and need Guanfacine ER for severe impulsivity. The issue is that Guanfacine ER is not available/approved in India, so local doctors generally cannot prescribe it.

I have already tried multiple psychiatric medicines without much benefit. I am considering taking an online consultation with a USA psychiatrist specifically for Guanfacine ER because I want to legally import the medicine from the USA.

My questions:

Would a USA psychiatrist prescribe Guanfacine ER to an international patient living in India?

Are there legal or licensing restrictions for this?
