In the market for an emtb for $1.5-$2.5k. I have a buddy that spent $6k+ on his bike but I’m not someone who’s going to ride every weekend or hard core trails. He’s constantly recommending expensive bikes with expensive parts but I’m like bro, I’m fine with a cheaper option. I’m constantly getting ads for lesser known Chinese brands. What parts do I compromise? Obviously the motor is the most important, but am I better off with a full suspension and hub drive? Or hardtail with mid-drive. I have to compromise to stay within my price point. TIA!
