My FIL bought my husband a first gen CRX & always wanted one for himself. My husband found one on OfferUp & and his dad bought it.

It runs well. It only needs carpet, which they will put in. He paid $300 for it. The guy bought it for his son and his son didn’t want it.
Someone asked for diabetic friendly recipes for their husband earlier today. Here’s mine. Replace the rice with veggies or another carb-free/low carb side.
I’m a type two diabetic and my endocrinologist wants me to have some carbs for energy.
These are the tomatoes my father grew and set aside for me. I have always loved tomatoes, I eat them raw or cooked like people eat apples. I’ve always loved the taste of them.
Here I cut up tomatoes and added salt to them. Sometimes I add salt and lime to them.
I had dinner at my in law’s house.
I’m back in the hospital after a month. I have another infection and my new kidney (2.5 years) has been hit. Creatinine is very high and GFR dropped a lot. I had a fever for a couple of days. I went to the ER yesterday evening and it was too packed so I left. Now I’m waiting in my local ER hospital lobby. The one I went to yesterday was where I had my kidney transplant.
Anyways, I have been having so much pain. I cried of pain throughout the night until I fell asleep. I have a headache, pain in my stomach & body aches. While some of the pain has went away, I still feel very weak and tired. I have absolutely no energy at all.
My husband and I visited my mother in law in her small in the middle of nowhere town where crops grow. So I had to buy cherries from a local farm. We also bought a yellow watermelon!
I had a UTI. But of course they treat every transplant like it’s life or death. I had chills, burning sensation when urinating, headache, a fever of 102, body aches, & sweats.
I got poked multiple times. The first two were missed. The 3rd IV was done via ultrasound and was flushing well but not a lot of blood was coming out to draw blood.
I also have steroid induced diabetes so I’ve been getting finger pricks.
This transplant has been so rough for me. I’m tired of it. I know I’m still alive but I wish I had all the butterflies and unicorns that other transplant people say that have.
So about ports because I’m a hard stick, what’s the recovery like? How easy is cleaning it? Does it hurt? My grandfather is on dialysis and was in severe pain for 2 weeks. But I’m so tired of these pokes hurting me much more all the time.
