Defect Claim - Approved

I pulled a glass canvas case hit last week, the card had 3 indentations on the front surface that are visible so I put in a claim and it was approved and I have to send the card in.

So, my question is…this is my first claim. Since they approved my claim and asked me to ship the card, what happens next? Do they do another review once they receive it? Will they deny once the card gets there and ship back? Can I expect to get an exact replacement back? My main concern is the back and forth through the mail, I see all the horror stories about lost and stolen cards, so I’m trying to avoid that. Obviously I will be insuring the shipment to Topps. Curious to hear everyone’s experience with approved claims. Thanks!

Host Comps - What to ask for? Turning Stone Resort

Headed to the casino tonight for my Birthday with the girlfriend. Have a comped room in the resorts newest hotel which I’m stoked on. I’m a middle tier player, far from their top but not basic either. My free play offers are usually $100 a week. Important note is I usually go once a month to or every other. I emailed the host to see if my play would qualify me for dinner comps for me and my girlfriend. He responded that my play does qualify, but now I’m not sure what to ask for? It’s a “smaller” casino in central NY so I’m not expecting extravagant but you know what this is my first time asking for something like this. What other things have you been successful in getting comps for? Usually I’m bring about 1k to play with.

Card seller normally of “higher end” looking to capitalize on “lower end” inventory to fund trip! Advice?

Alright, I know the title is a little wonky but I’ll try to explain and I hope you stick with me! I’ve hit just over $10k is sales since Jan 1st, which is my biggest year by far. My number of sales is only 64 items, so you get the idea that it’s not a huge time commitment right now.

Backstory - Have been buying/selling since 2001, mainly a buyer in my younger years but in the past 5-10 years I’ve done some selling, mainly of what I would consider more expensive, valuable cards. Usually I will only list items worth at least $50 just to make the extra work seem worth it to me. I just sell on the side to fund my collecting hobby mainly. I usually have roughly 100 listings active all on BIN or BO, never usually a person to run auctions.

That being said, just booked a fairly big trip for next March and decided I kind of wanted to try and put some more time into my eBay selling and see if I can sort of fund my trip or at least give me some gambling $$ while I’m on my trip! I’d love to save up $3-5k. So my thoughts are to start listing my lower dollar inventory that just sits organized. I have thousands of cards worth $2 to $25, just not sure the best way to list them (auction style (3 day, 5?! Best day to have auctions end? or BIN), assume I need to use standard envelope shipping option to make purchasing a cheaper card sensible.

If you’ve made it this far, I really appreciate it! I’d love to hear what anyone has to offer up. I think this is a good way to thin out my collection and put the money toward a fun trip.

Booked on Bliss! March 28 2027 to Bermuda.

Finally have my first cruise booked that will hopefully sail! Originally had my first cruise booked on Encore in May 2020, and we know how that story went. So anyway…booked on the Bliss for March 28th sailing to Bermuda! Staying in a Balcony on the 13th floor. Already looking forward to it. Happy to listen to any suggestion, advice, gripes…whatever!

NCL Bliss NYC —> Bermuda March/April 2027 - Advice!?

Hey all! I think I’ve narrowed down my search to the 5 or 7 day NYC to Bermuda on the Bliss! It was between that and the Luna, but prices were a bit too much for me on the Luna.

Some info-
First time actually cruise (booked in May 2020, covid)
Booking a balcony, is the Club Balcony Suite worth the extra money?

What are the best floors/locations to pick my room? Does anyone have a favorite? We are a couple in our early 40s, we’re going to hopefully experience a little bit of everything! Food, casino, pools. The unlimited decks and choices is a bit overwhelming and would appreciate any rooms that you know we’re good or even better ones to absolutely avoid!

Also willing to hear about must sees in Bermuda! I’m a bit more confident when it comes to planning that stuff!

Thanks!

Book now? Current offers

So for context, I’ve never officially been on a cruise. I had my first cruise booked and paid on NCL Encore the first year it came out and sailed out of NY, obviously 2020. May was supposed to the the cruise to Bermuda…everyone knows the rest. So I was a bit bummed and a little put off just because of everything going on with COVID blah blah. Fast forward, me and the girlfriend have been discussing vacations, our 2nd year together so the booked cruise wasn’t with her.

Long story long, the “Freedom Sale” feels like a good deal, is it? Would likely be departing from somewhere on the east coast going south or Bermuda.

Have been looking at new ships and it seems Aqua has some very mixed reviews. Any information is appreciated!!

Booking travel/trip…physical card needed?

Hey all! I’ve had affirm for awhile? Use it on mostly online purchases, never for travel. Been thinking about booking a trip or hotel through affirm. Is it important to have the physical card to present to these companies you’re traveling with? Such as presenting at check in etc…? Would love to hear some experiences, from quick search it looks like using Expedia is advertised by them…

Well…I’ve been back and forth on buying a Tesla. I own a Tundra, have always owned trucks. Looking to add something totally different that really peaks my interest. The FSD really has sold me on finding a used M3 or Y with lifetime FSD. I’m hoping the pros on here can chime in on one I am looking at!

2022 Base 69k RWD clean title and FSD!

$20,000…solid deal?!

Challenge Ideas (content)

Ok I’m home from work…may be a bit hazed and this idea came to mind after watching the podcast episode this morning. Don’t be too harsh on me brothers.

An interesting challenge series between Cleet and JH would be “swapping specialties” series and the JH channel needs to build a gasser for the challenge and the Cleetus gang needs to build a diesel vehicle for the challenge. Whether it be drag, road course and burnout comp or a mix. Would be fun I think 🤷🏻‍♂️
