Extended haunter with acrylics!
Been doing a few alters recently to pokémon cards and I wanted to share this one as I'm quite happy with the way it came out!

Been doing a few alters recently to pokémon cards and I wanted to share this one as I'm quite happy with the way it came out!
I've started running 3x per week pretty recently, and today was my very first time where I got to run the full 30 minutes without having to walk in between!
Sure, it was at a "Grandma Snail's pace" but I did it! I never walked once, and my heart rate stayed steadily just under 85% of my max!
I feel so good and excited to slowly start working up speed to hit the 5k. It's been such a good journey already, and I just can't wait to do more!
I really wanted to share this with people who might understand how I feel right now! (As most of my friends are gamers and haven't run a day in their life, lol!)
I bought a cheap violin to learn with that came with a bridge that's the same size on both sides - there is no high and low side and when playing with it the g string looses its sound when the bow releases rhe string.
I contacted Gears4Music and they say they can only send me an uncut replacement - is it fine to just play with this one or should I order a new one?
Poor baby is a very aggressive cat and refuses to be taken to the vet to get it checked out - how serious is this? It looks like a small balloon in her mouth of fluid.
Update: I've talked about suggestions from here to the neighbour and she doesn't seem to have any intention of taking her to the vet. She says she's had the same thing happen to her last year and it's gone away.
I don't know this neighbour all to well, I've only moved here a month ago so I don't want to overstep any boundaries - but is there anything I can do for this poor baby? 😭
I've not played in a month - but when trying to tune my cello I kept hearing cracking noises until eventually this part entirelt snapped off of my cello including the strings and stuff
It looks like it has lost a part but I don't know much about this - should I look for a little metal piece?
I have leveled up from notebooks to hardcovers, and I'm just in love with bookbinding!
I made some bookcloth from fabric I thought was beautiful and then created my first hardcover - This was well worth the time, I'm super happy!
I've started bookbinding recently and have become obsessed with finding pretty patterns for the covers - however, I can't seem to get my notebooks to stay closed.
I'm using 200 gsm white paper decorated with wallpaper that doesn't tell me it's thickness but I'd say like 100 or so for the cover - then 16 A5 80 gsm printer paper for the insides (short grained for everything)
I bind my notebooks a bit towards the front so the binding is more visable when closed and leave them in the press for 12+ hours.
Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏
I made a small notebook as my first project - I decided to turn a tote bag into the cover for my notebook!
I learnt quickly that decorations like this bow stop me from being able to write on the left side of the paper lol - but it looks cute I guess!
Such a relaxing and fun hobby! Can't wait to make more!
I'm binding my first book and realised when following a tutorial for the french link stitch, my pages and holes don't align the way the one in the tutorial does

My first thought is that I'm not pulling them tight enough but I was tearing some paper when I pulled tighter, and I dont seem to be able to move the pages much as they are now so

How can I fix this?
The stairs to my front door are falling apart - it doesnt look as bad as it is, but the cracks are slowly making it slide downwards
I have 0 knowledge or tools to fix this - someone please teach me what I'd need and how to fix it before my stairs collapse?
I found 2 oddly shaped rocks that I believed were fossils in my garden (Edinburgh, UK) - but according to r/fossilid it's likely a mineral of some sorts
I've included pictures of both of them in here - They are smooth wherever they are white and rough on the black parts - The inner black parts also sparkle a bit
Found another piece in the same location after a bit more digging! Is it a bone of some sorts?
I'm tilling my garden to start planting crops and have come across what I first believed was an oddly shaped rock, but googling makes me believes it's fossilised bone?
The inside of it is kind of sparkly! I have no idea what it could be from, so here I am! Found in Edinburgh not very deep into the garden, if that helps! (Like 30-50 cm down?)
I found a very oddly shapen rock while tilling my garden and realised it sparkled a bit - I went to wash it off and jot much has changed.
I know nothing about rocks and stuff, but I wonder if it would be sparkly on the inside?
Garden I found it in is in Edinburgh - Scotland! The darker parts are rough like sandpaper and the more white like parts feel almost like a bone in how smooth it is. Overall seems like a pretty hard rock?
Thanks for the help!
I made this little duck as my second Amigurumi project - in which I realised my stitches were rotating to the right
I did a bit of googling and was shown that crocheting yarn under + moving the hook upwards when finishing the stitch should make it straight
Now somehow.. my stitches are moving to the left instead of the right on the second duck. What am I doing wrong?
Going up with my hook also seems to have made my stitches quite a not tighter - is this good or bad? It looks nice but it's been hsrder to see the stitches with this yarn I'm ngl
Meet my little albino blob cat, which was made with TheCrochetCode2025's pattern, as my first little project.
Idk where it went wrong but he's a tad wonky lmao - but I love him anyways! 🥰
I wanted my first project to follow the stars - and to whoever understand what I mean and recognises it, you'll know how much this little piece means to me 🥰
It's a lighthouse from a very emotional videogame called "to the moon" that holds a lot of memories for me but isn't very well known
Just being able to make something like this really warms my heart and I can't wait to make more
I followed a little workshop in whittling where I learnt the basics and this is the result of it! What an incredible new hobby!
Any tips on how I could make the windows look any smoother? Can I sand it?
First of all - I have mad respect for each and every single one of you. But I am at the point of never wanting to touch a whetstone again lol
I have recently gotten into whittling and was excited cause - "Oh, I just need a knife and some wood!".. Little did I know how hard it was to sharpen a knife - yall make it look so easy
Every time I've tried to sharpen it I somehow dull the knife more than it was before sharpening - I get the bur going, try to remove it and its still dull I don't understand what I'm doing wrong 🤣 (I've never been able to cut through paper like they always show)
what can I do when whittling to prolong the time between having to sharpen my knives? I have a ceramic honing rod, a leather strop and a 6000-1000 grit doublesided whetstone
Should I hone my blades when whittling every say 15 minutes? Should I use the strop after every session? How often do I need to do these things?
And finally - for a beginner who has absolutely no patience - what sharpening style would you recommend?
2 of my favourite misprints!
I pulled both of these from some EOE collector bundles and thought they were meant to be this way as some cool alternate version - but realised that wasn't the case later on
How do misprints in this way happen anyways?
