Is it worth upgrading from the G8 OLED (1st gen) to the AW3426DW (5th gen)?

I have a 34-inch G8 OLED monitor, which is a first-generation QD-OLED; is it worth switching to the AW3426DW, which is a fifth-generation model?

Thanks.

What is the current status of age verification in systemd?

I’ve read that an age field was added to systemd, though some sources say they ultimately backtracked and removed it.

What is the current status regarding this matter? Will there be age verification?

Thanks

Switch from a G8 oled (qd-oled gen 1) to a tandem oled?

I currently have a 32-inch Samsung G8 OLED ultrawide monitor (QD-OLED Gen 1), but I’d like to switch back to 16:9—mainly for better game compatibility—and I’m looking at current 2560x1440p options.

Should I go for a Tandem OLED or a QD-OLED? My main issue with current 2560x1440p QD-OLEDs (like the AW2725DF) is that using DSC makes Alt-Tabbing really annoying. From what I can see, Tandem OLEDs are excellent (aside from gray uniformity). I owned an LG WOLED a while back and was only disappointed by the brightness; Tandem OLEDs seem to perform better in that regard.

How does the ASUS PG27AQWP-W compare to my current monitor in terms of image quality? I want to go back to 16:9, but I don't want to sacrifice image quality.

Thanks.

Sometimes PUBG starts up with poor performance on a good PC.

I have a solid PC (RTX 4080 Super / i7-13700KF), but sometimes when I launch PUBG—even just in the menu—I notice poor performance; I get around 90–110 FPS, and the game feels very laggy.

The strange thing is that this only happens occasionally—maybe one out of every five times I launch the game—while the rest of the time it runs perfectly. I’ve tried adjusting CPU affinity using Process Lasso, but the issue persists; the same happens in both full-screen and borderless modes.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m on Windows 11.

Thanks.

Start playing without Envoy and Hyporion?

I bought X4 Planets Collection Edition on Steam, thinking it would include all the game's DLCs, but I see I'm still missing the Envoy and Hyporion DLCs.

I'm completely new to X4 and haven't even started playing yet. Will not having these two DLCs be a big deal for a new player? What do you recommend for someone new like me? I'm a player of Elite Dangerous.

Thanks.

Is it worth replacing my QD-OLED monitor with a new model?

I have a Samsung LS34BG850SUXEN ultrawide OLED monitor.

Would it be worth selling it and buying a new 5th generation QD-OLED ultrawide monitor, or one from the 4th generation WOL-OLED, or should I just keep my current monitor?

Thanks.
