I did a mashup of ECHO covers by Raora, Haachama and Watame
youtube.comWhat are some of the smaller MSM-tubers you can recommend?
My Singing Monsters has a community as talanted as it is vast, and it's often hard to get noticed by a large audience. So I'm making this post as a way to help those authors get noticed. Write down in the replies what are some of the smaller and talented MSM creators on YouTube tha you would like to recommend.
I'll go first, go check out @Satellit_charon on YouTube; their fan-made class slots in nicely with the MSM canon, the Crystal and Poison Islet prediction are super unique, and they managed to make proper sounding Islets each with a total of six monsters!
I wanted to show off my Shifting Stones homebrew
I really like the game Shifting Stones; I got it as a birthday gift for myself, we play it with my family, and I always make sure to mention it at friend gatherings at my home. I like it to the point that I even homebrewed some new ways to add variety to the game. And so, I wanted to share these with people online.
The main thing I added to the game is half-tiles, one-sided and two-sided. They have pocket indents so that you can mix and match the tiles of the same type together. The two-sided tiles were made first so that, when adding new tiles to the game, you didn’t have to completely remove a base game tile from the game, instead essentially merging it with any other tile.
And then there’s the rainbow tile, the handcraft I feel the proudest of. Of course, the idea of a rainbow tile on a 3 by 3 grid sounds overpowered, so I came up with a couple of rules to balance it. The rainbow tile has two sides: the rainbow side, which counts as any color, and the gray side, which doesn’t count as any color. At the start of each turn, the tile is turned gray side up, and turning it rainbow side up will cost you 2 cards. It's also recommended to use the tile on a larger field to prevent the entire game from focusing solely on it.
I'm also still trying to think of a design for the rainbow tile's gray side. One idea was something like a comedy/tragedy mask with two blank cards in its mouth to hint at the tile's function. If anyone else has some ideas, feel free to share them.
Oh, and there’s also a house rule that we play with at home: play continues not until a player gets a certain number of goals, but until every card in the deck has been played, be it spent for actions or scored for points. That way you don’t have to worry about constantly looking at the reference cards for when you’re supposed to finish, and you can just enjoy the game as is.
